Dragon Age 3D Screenshot, no 3D glasses required. In hopes of DA2 being 3D ready.

I found Dragon age orig. not great in 3D, but love the game and play it in 2D.
No reason to complain. I will just game on and wait .

Another thing is that your attitude shows you are a moron or troll OP if not because you go on randomly telling people that they are lesser beings lower in evolutoin, then for the sole reason you are asking for features when the game is gold and ready for selling.
Also, 3D looks good but is not a "shock"... maybee you just wet your pands easily over things other people just consider nice.

this includes 3d movies in theaters. i think maybe just maybe since lots of people who get migraines get them from viewing 3d it is not natural since it is a technique to trick the brainBtingly wrote...

Are you the same guy who used to constantly go on about 3d on the mass effect boards. You and about 3 other people actually want 3D. no one cares.gimmickfeature.
This coming from a guy who stares at a flat 2D image. It's not natural to stare at 2D images, eyes were meant to view objects with depth & convergence. You guys can't be this ignorant. It's scary.
then how come if i watch something in 3d i get migraines?
1. The 3D system you're using sucks.
OR
2. The depth & convergence are too high for you and need to be lowered.
OR
3. You need time to adjust. Your brain has been wired to view 2D images for the past 10-15 years of your life and 3D is a shock.
Playing in Stereoscopic 3D is like when Neo woke up for the first time and used his real eyes.
It took me about three weeks to transition to 3D and now I can't look at a stupid flat 2D image anymore.

Considering that 3D technology has been around for almost 60+ years and no one has yet figured out to make it last with any kind of long term profitably. The only reason Hollywood thinks it will work this time is because of the IMAX 3D when a few big blockbusters fail in 3D this fad will die again.
* Eventually all monitors will support 120hz, it will be common place in peoples home.
* Unreal Engine has stereoscopic 3D built in now.
* The price of glasses will continue to drop.
* NVIDIA updates profiles for every game that comes out.
If you read my topic you'd know that I mentioned nothing of TV's. 3DTV's are complete ****, but NVIDIA 3D Vision for the PC is amazing.

No, I just told them that they are ignorant. Making a decision without even trying the 3D. go read my posts before you put words into my mouth.

You're full of it, and 3D is a gimmick. Not only is it a gimmick, but it's a gimmick that was released before it was even close to being perfected.
Also, the game has gone gold, and was in development LONG before you could put any imput of this sort in.
Excuse me while I ignorantly enjoy my game just as much with only two dimensions.

Have you even tried Dragon Age in NVIDIA 3D Vision?
It looks sooo beautiful. The only problem is the mouse cursor is 2D.
I wish I could show you how beautiful Dragon Age is in Stereo 3D.
All of the technology (yes, I have tried them all at conferences) gives me a headache. It is because I am colorblind in the way that screws with 3D technology. And I am not alone on this.
Also, remember that 3D technology seriously screws with framerate. The engine is literally rendering the scene from multiple angles to give the 3D effect. On the new glasses-free TVs, you have to render it nine times per frame. Less time for important RPG things, like AI.
Unless there is a gameplay reason to have 3D, I am not going to put up with that. I have seen good arguments in first person. 3D gives you a better sense of spatial awareness to your body, separating the near things from the far things. However, if I have an avatar on the screen, it just does not matter for me.
This goes even doubly so when I am managing multiple avatars on different locations on the screen, like Dragon Age.

Considering the whole 3D thing is designed to mess with your brain letting you percieve it has depth it is not natural...
that argument ends there...

I did, also, I tried 3D and I like it. But I don't care for it much. Again, I don't see how it would improve the game considering that money spent on any other aspect of this game than graphics is money well spent (to some extent, I realise we are past the text games era by now). I could understand your rambling if it was for Mass Effect 3 since it's the most flashy BioWare series and it's still in development. Here you are wasting your breath and making a fool of yourself asking for additional features for a game that is 100% done.

Stereo 3D is not a gimmick, anyone who says so is very ignorant.
You realize how ironic it is to classify everyone that will disagree as ignorant beforehand? Thanks though, that made me chuckle a little.

Until I can view 3D without glasses, I will continue to care very little whether my games are in 3D or not.
This.
And once it stops being **** expensive.
You can debate until your nose starts bleeding about whether or not 3D is considered healthy or beneficial for your eyesight but the fact of the matter is that it is not mainstream enough, too few people are using it meaning that the resources they spend on this will be, for a large part, a waste. And frankly, they are better off spending it elsewhere. Won't happen until more people start showing an interesting in this, sorry to break it to you.

Anyone think that the OP (a) is a troll, and (works for Nvidia?
I vote (a).
3D comes around every now and then in movies. Then it goes away. It's in TV's now. And will likely go away soon. It's in games now. And will likely go away soon.
You know why? As someone else said, it's not real 3D. You're viewing something on a flat screen which has two dimensions. To make something (TV or movie) into 3D, they overlay 2 or more two-dimensional images over one another, and then display then on a single two-dimensional screen. They likely do something similar for this nonsense. That's why you need to wear those idiotic glasses.
When they actually create a way to show real 3D - meaning it's viewed on a three dimensional screen - I'll wet myself. Until then, I'm fine with what I've spent 40 years with.
But thanks for being so happy about this, OP. It's charming. Or annoying. Not sure which.

Back to topic:
I fully agree with OP. 3D is awesome and it's not expensive. I have migraine myself and suffer from intense headaches with foggy vision and I'm extremely sensitive to brightness and noises when it happens but playing in 3D is no issue at all. And I'm sitting in front of my PC all day long, playing at least five, six hours a day.

Not the present.
Stereoscopy is just a trick. Not 3D.
So a guy who is calls this artificial feel-like-3D technology natural and everyone who thinks otherwise ignorant, can be nothing else but a creature who turns into stone on daylight.

...of course 3D technology is artificial
It's use is to give you the perception of 3D ..and appear more natural (as natural as it's ever going to get).Which was the OP point.
It is the future of gaming in the sense it is ongoing and present now...the technology is not redundant it's advancing .Objecting to games evolving to look and feel 3D is ignorant and just silly. As silly as someone coming here and saying platform games were wayyy better. It's nonsensical.
