Actually the more I think about it the more I think it was from the books.

*Edit* - And the books are player-choice neutral, so anything said in the book applies equally no matter what the player does.

Right... but in-game, they never call the saved council human lead... hm...

Finally got it figured out (just beat ME1 again): if you let the council die, then the person you pick to be on the newly formed council is the chairman of the council; if you save the council, though, then the person you pick is just a regular member. So if the council dies then the new council is human-led, if you save the council then it's not human-led.

But as he points out, time doesn't really advance in the ME universe. Just because the game came out a year ago doesn't mean that it's now 2186 in-game.

Actually, if you want to be strict, Arrival takes place in 2186, not in 2185 like the rest of ME2. Remember that Cerberus Daily News is real time; in other words, it IS 2186 in-game right now.

Yes, but the ad he was talking about wasn't in the CDN, it was in the game proper, and in the game proper it's still 2185.

If it makes any difference, I have the PS3 version. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Wait, how did humans get the authority to make a council chairman and make themselves the chairman to boot?  I mean, I know the old concil dies, but that doesn't mean people forget how the system works or that they let the group everyone was suspitious of anyway make themselves supream emperors of the universe*!

I really can't see Liara playing a big role in this DLC: I'm guessing that pic is fan made. She'd be busy with Shadow Broker stuff and besides, what if you never downloaded the LOTSB?

looks fake if only because that doesnt really look like the style they use for cutscenes and its not even rendered the same. probably just someone posing the model.

that may not matter, you don't need the firewalker pack or even pick it up in game to use it for Overlord.

I saw a picture of Liara standing in a london subway, wonder if this is real:

And apparently there is another 1 of Shepard being stealthy/sneaky. Anybody know more? Or is it fake?

that pic has a Deus Ex human revolution look of it

I call fake. Great work anyways :)

Posted Image
Edit: @down - state of artifacts on Liara is much worse than on the rest of the picture. I was sure that image was post processed. After seeing the original on deviantart, I downloaded it and checked the metadata - Photoshop CS3 :) That doesn't mean it's exactly "fake", but it usually is.

What, because of those artifacts? That's just a result of poor compression. You can see more of it in the left of that thumb where the cable cuts across the light. If it's fake, someone's just posed her model in a scene. I'd be really surprised if it's just a Photoshop job.

Where was that picture first found, anyway?

Meh, I don't know what he's talking about either, but it is fake. Not for whatever anyone so far has said, unless someone has already said that that image was made with GMod. Because that image was made with GMod.

You'd think people would notice from the textures from a game that came out over half a decade ago. Maybe it's just me because I used to play Half Life 2 / Every other VALVe Source game ever, but I recognized the background textures immediately.

Very quick Google search yielded these results: rockcod.deviantart.com/art/Liara-With-Her-Thoughts-188972326

RUMOR DEBUNKED. Excuse my while I ruin the rest of your dreams.

If we are to believe that future DLCs will be a tie-in to the ME3 state of things, or at least a hint of the events that lead to ME3, the sacrifice could be substantial. Or, at least, the missions we get to play from now on will bring important developments to the universe (as in The Shadow Broker). Either way, I can't wait for the Arrival's arrival ^^

Actually this will be the last dlc prior to ME 3.

Well, if this is presumably the last DLC, then it is plausible to expect something more subsatntial in terms of plot, rather than just another well crafted series of missions.

According to what they said, this will be the last DLC.

01/02/2011 - From BioWare's Cerberus Daily News Team

“OUT-OF-GAME NOTICE: The Cerberus Daily News will begin a hiatus on
January 24th, finishing its run of one full year. Daily postings will
cease except for three weeks in 2011: a week of posts will precede a
downloadable content release, and two more weeks will lead up to the
release of Mass Effect 3. The CDN team thanks fans for their attention,
comments, and feedback (both in and out of character!). We are sorry to
go, but we had fun -- we hope you did, too!”

I keep hearing this assumption that there's gonna be only one story DLC period. Where in this notice does this say so? It says there will be posts in the week prior to 'A(!!!)" DLC, not 'the final DLC' or a variation of this. I'm not saying there's gonna be more than one but this assumption that there's actually gonna be only one, period is just wrong.

It specifically states there are three weeks of CDN due in 2011. So if two weeks are for ME 3 that just leaves one week for the arrival DLC. Of course they could release a DLC without CDN, but the notice seems to imply that there will only be one more story DLC.

Seems awkward that they'd announce the last bridging DLC before the second (bridging DLC), unless they wanted it to be a super surprise... Which kind of fails because the assumption prior to the CDN update was that there would be three bridging DLC's. The surprise with the new info was the implication that there were going to be only two: LotSB and the one a week before ME3 release.

I noticed the artifact is called "Object Rho" does this mean it was discovered within the Argos Rho Cluster or something along those lines? Sorry, if this point has already been made. :)
