Yup, it's confirmed. Saying that Shepard will die is ridiculous, VS doesn't makes much sense, but it is possible. (Though I doubt it). There will also be no VS DLC, wait for ME3.

I cant imagine they would only do that for Tsoni.

I rather get punched in the gut and kick in the jewels by Ashley then be flailed alive by Liara. *shudder*.

At least with Ashley you know you had it coming, with Liara... Let's just say it would be extremely awkward and hilarious at the same time.

Prob about turning Earth into a giant honey trap for the reapers, either to buy time for digging up a solution, or to get/prepare a solution for the 'reaper problem'.

unfortunately, he's probably right - the best we could hope for at this point is a cameo.  they cannot leave something as important as renewing/breaking ties with your original team mebers to DLC  (Liara nonwithstanding and even then - its kinda in limbo there)

also - this thread moves faster then twitter.  its a little terrifying o_O

Arrival is obviously plain and simple a return of few of the Reapers. Not all of them, they probably sent in spies and things to take info and alternative, etc.

No! No! No! The Virmire Survivor gets kidnapped by agents of the Reapers or CERBERUS!! and turned into a fusion of Human flesh and Reaper Tech like poor Grayson. They become the primary antagonist for the next game, the vanguard who announces the ARRIVAL of his/her masters and their Redemption will be a huge plot point. If you romance them then they are saved if you did not or cheated then they are killed.

It could simply mean someone else volounteering to make it. It is still an ultimate sacrifice then, just one that the player has not personally made.

The achievement says 'The Ultimate Sacrifice'. It doesn't hint to who is to sacrifice himself. Anyone getting themselves killed to save another is called an ultimate sacrifice...
