What is Arrival? (New DLC Leak?)

Tying in with this is the question of when we'll start to get more information about ME3. Can someone tell me when did BioWare start the buildup to ME2 - character trailers and such? I doubt we'll see anything until Arrival drops, but I could see BioWare using Arrival to kick off the hype machine, especially if "Arrival" refers to the arrival of the Reapers.

Is anyone else thinking they arnt gonna say squat and then suddenly the Cerberus Daily News will start again in April in the week leading up to its release?! I mean 122 posts of speculation doesn't lie, there's still interest in the game and once the first daily news item is up I'm pretty sure word will spread. If they do then they deserve the wrath of everyone thats putting off an 8th playthrough just for a smidgen of news about a release date.
Also thinking of setting up MEOA (Mass Effect Obsessives Annonymous) akin to the AA for those who need to work through their Mass Effect Withdrawals - any takers?

I think we won't see anything until April. March is Dragon Age 2 Month. Lair of the Shadow Broker was announced July 22, and came out on September 7 - roughly six weeks later. So I figure we'll get the announcement in April at the earliest, and Arrival Day in May or June.

My guess is E3 until anything major about ME3

The way I see it... if the title "arrival" refers to the Reapers than it's more likely that this is just the first glimpse of them emerging from darkspace for a few seconds right before the final credits (for all post-release dlc). It probably has little to nothing to do with the actual plot of the episodic content and extremely little to absolutely no impact on the opening sequence of ME3.
There needs to be more to it than that. End of ME2: Reapers are approaching the galaxy. End of Arrival: Reapers are approaching the first arm of the galaxy. Sounds so anticlimactic, even for a DLC, to have something we have pretty much already seen.

If it were going to be a full-disc expansion it would probably have more than three achievements/trophies. Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening had 8, Episodes from Liberty City had 15, Undead Nightmare had 37.Fear_me_leader wrote...
There is information suggesting it is suppose to have side mission along with a main story line perhaps this is a Full disc expansion (As they will want to keep the quality of lotsb) More info is NEEDED BIOWARE!!!

For those of you thinking that the Reaper's will destory the Sol Mass Relay, I'm sorry but this doesn't make any sense. Why would they destroy it when they can simply deactivate it for other races like they did in their last invasion. Vigil explained all this in ME1.
This.

Maybe Arrival could end with the Reapers, well, arriving on Earth? I think that's a pretty likely scenario since the ME3 trailer has quite clearly established that the Reapers will likely already be causing havoc on Earth when the third game begins. I think the producers have also stated that the DLC's will "bridge the gap" between ME 2 and 3, so this might be a good way to do it. Have Arrival end with a black screen and someone saying "They're here". Or something. Then again, if the game comes out in November, there might still be one more DLC in store after Arrival, so I don't know if the Reapers would arrive in this one if that were the case...

If they announced a DLC before the game was released, why would they wait to announce a DLC for ME, even considering the PS3 players?Fiery Phoenix wrote...

PAX is a crapshoot at best. The largest audience is at E3. While Bioware might release a few details about ME3, I doubt they will release anything other than vague details until E3.MajesticJazz wrote...

As for Arrival... I've said before that we won't hear anything until after DA2 is released. Not only that, but I can say with 100% certainty that the acheivement/trophies released so far are not all that's there. How do I know this? Because I'm not retarded.
Seriously, while I doubt the entirety of Bioware is prepping for the release of DA2, It would be a terrible decision to announce a highly anticipated DLC which could cause people to not buy the game because suddenly the world of Mass Effect just got a lot more exciting.

I find it unlikely that Bioware successfully concealed some of the trophies contained in the update, but failed to conceal others; that just doesn't make any sense. Why would they have marked some as hidden and not the rest? Besides, 3 achievements/trophies is pretty standard for DLC.

To be fair, the first one only died because he *wasn't* around Shepard, he thought he could go it alone without the need for Shep's awesomness. The other two were total fruitcakes who'd eventually p1ss off someone who could squash them.
More Spectres would be agreeable. I want to see a Salarian Spectre
