VS isn't dying anytime soon. the only squaddies from teh first game that can die in me2 are Grrus and Tali. Plus the Ashey/Kaidan fanbase is possibly he biggest fanbase of tall the characters so I doubt Bioware will ****** them off intentionally.

I STILL say they aren't going to kill off squadmates in this thing. That's what the SM's for.

And I totally wouldn't buy it if it auto-killed half my team.

Yes, clearly Bioware made sure Ash/Kaidan couldn't die in ME2 just so they could kill them in a DLC. And after Arrival we'll get another DLC made for the sole purpose of killing of any remaining ME2 squadmates because they might have been killed in the Suicide Mission. Let's throw Liara and Wrex in for good measure and we'll get to do the whole recruitment/loyalty/allies cycle all over again in ME3 because some people can't get around the fact this entire franchise is based around the fact player actions affect the game universe.

(That was sarcasm)

Either Ash or Kaidan survived Virmire. To kill of the survivor (in the sense the player has no choice in the matter) would make the Virmire choice in the first game meaningless.

At this point neither of us knows what will happen in the DLC or the third game so I can't *technically* say you're wrong but I'm willing to bet Ash/Kaidan will not be killed off in a DLC.

DLC description: Warning, downloading this DLC eliminates half of your team, you have been warned.

Not really that hard to believe.

In all seriousness, here are some of the reasons the Virmire Survivor won't be killed in Arrival without the player's choice:

> BioWare said they wanted them for the ongoing story; that's why they never joined you on the suicide mission.
> The Virmire Survivor is a love interest. Killing such a character without player control is simply a nonsensical idea.
> Both Ashley or Kaidan could have died on Virmrie already. One of them has to live.
>Imagine the rage on the forums; BioWare knows all too well that Ashley and Kaidan have fans (I'm one of them).

Yes, some Batarian ale, please.

But really, they might as well just announce it, give us some more discussion.

I've just received my French Dragon Age 2 SE for PC, the advertising for the DLC says "L'invasion ne fait que commencer", when you translate it, it means "The invasion is only beginning", in my opinion it's more eloquent than "The arrival has begun" but still doesn't says much...

Right, I now have DA2 and the Arrival leaflet telling me to go to eu.masseffect.com, but there's no info on that site. Come on BioWare everyone knows this DLC exists, DA2 is now out everywhere, just announce this DLC already!

I think we're saying goodbye to the Virmire survivor, as having them as a squadmate in ME3 would present some serious balance issues, and having them in ME3 but not as a squadmate would be retarded.

In what way would that present balance issues?

Bioware, now would be a great time to announce the DLC.
