We know in the file that was leaked from the Appearance Pack that Batarian military will be included in Arrival.

The solider in the background doing the interrogating is in better light than the soldier much closer, in the foreground. And no, their not wearing the uniforms of any of the known merc bands.

The helmets are what's throwing me off. The uniforms they are wearing look like the cloth-covered uniforms of Batarians, but the helmet don't look big enough to fit. One effect of having multiple sets of eyes is that Batarian have a much taler head, or at least I thought they did.

It's kinda funny for how long we discussed about batarians and Shep become a batarian prisoner and now all think they're humans.

They could fit, even with a taller head, especially since the holes don't need to be used from the eyes nearest to the bottom.

Didn't the Shadow Broker agents also use that armor? I don't remember/see if it's the same color scheme, though.

batarians do have tall heads and putting a helmet on that blocks 2 of their 4 eyes seems odd dont you think why have 4 eyes and cover 2 with a helmet seems like that would mess with their sight and i think thats why most batarians dont wear a helmet cause of that

But most mercs don't wear helmets anyway. And batarians only need 2 eyes.

I think it's humans, so, there are few options we can put them.
.
1 - They can be mercenaries.
2 - They can be part of some major organization, Cerberus.
3 - They can be indoctrinated. (This would be my favorite)

Well, this DLC is big, so we are not sure if the Batarian system that was leaked is the only one.

mercs wear helmets blue suns eclipse the kasumi loyalty mission mercs and the shadowbroker solders all wear that hemet that we see in the screenshot so i bet we fight a private army or a new merc group

those guys could also be placeholders. it isn't hard to change a model with a different model in video games once you have everything setup and "done". did it a lot in TES games with the TES:CS and there's tons of pics and vids out there were people replace shepard with other characters to make different scenes.

Not all of them. Some do, some don't. Especially turians, there are more without a helmet than with.
