*RIDICULOUS SPECULATION ALERT*
So...
Arrival contains a new and interesting major character, Dr. Amanda Kenson, who is leading research into civilisations predating the Protheans (it took them THIS long) and who has maybe discovered that the Reapers are planning another "Arrival". This info is obviously important to Shepard and a certain someone else, due to the mercs, who are holding her for information
(and who look more like a private army to me). It is over to Shepard to rescue Dr Kenson and stop the attack. This will probably also involve recovering some vital information of Kenson's along the way.
The whole "Ultimate Sacrifice conclusion" may mean the death of Kenson in order to prevent the return of the Reapers.
A massive HERE COME THE REAPERS kind of cliffhanger could end the story and continue with the beginning of ME3 which is shown in the "Earth" trailer as starting after the Reapers' "Arrival.

P.S. I see no reason why this should involve the death of Kashley Willenko, who plays an important part in ME3.

Certain people have convinced themselves that the Batarian prisoner thing is real *cough*Pwener*cough* 
Don't get me wrong, I think that this would be awesome, an easy way to pop character and class creation for newbies, and not to mention a good premise for an introductory/tutorial mission. They could have set characters that died during the suicide mission for newcomers, and the people who survived in previous players' saves can come in the Normandy to save you at the end of the mission. Seems logical is all, considering Zaeed does mention Batarian prisons

That's actually a sound theory. I'm looking forward to see if it plays out like that. One of the achievements could certainly relate to that.

They'll probably announce it after a few days of this 1-screenshot-per-day thing. People have said Bioware likes to announce DLC on Thursdays, and if that's true I wouldn't be surprised if they announce it this Thursday.
