as for the DLC itself...the name suggests that the invasion starts, but that would mean the player would have to do the other missions, especially the main story first. I can't see it happen before the suicide mission.

On the other hand...maybe it just means arrival of the VS on board the Normandy. Ultimate Sacrifice meaning the VS "giving up" the Alliance which would be a pretty big sacrifice for the VS. (probably way off  there^^)

Wow, FINALLY news about story DLC!

Really I expected this to be about the Reapers, with Earth under attack and all, and really preventing the arrival of the Reapers is the perfect ending (or continuing) of all the stellar ME2 DLC.

I thought about this too.  Cutting ties with the Alliance perhaps?  That would be a big deal.  But isn't the "ultimate sacrifice" pretty universally accepted as sacrificing a life?

Wow. Well, this has the potential to be a very excellent piece of DLC. I presume, that the Doctor that is researching the mass relays has found some data that could unviel something that could be beneficial with the war against the Reapers, and the Reapers have sent the Collectors to eliminate her, or is infact the artifact that is from Evolution (haven't read it, only read an outline) that Cerberus is after.



And Shepard is called in by the Alliance as the last hope, or something, with the VS to spy on Shepard incase he does something, as they don't 100% trust him (her). Also, it gives us the chance to finally see Hackett and could be the final nail in the coffin for Shepard's links with Cerberus.



I think the whole 'Ultimate Sacrifice', is allowing the Reaper army to invade the human home planet - Earth - in order to gain what could be the weapon that could be used against them. This way it settles the way for the trailer.



Probably unlikely to happen, but i wouldn't if something among those lines is what happens. In the end, i am on the edge of my seat, awaiting for official news from BioWare themselves. This could be a marketing ploy, or just an honest mistake on the largest scale.

Well yeah, but considering the level of loyalty the VS has to the Alliance I think it could be considered their life - not literally, though - but I think it would be fitting. Of course this would also mean they should have a pretty good reason for it. Not just Shepard saying, you're done here, come with me. It would have to fit the character.
