AAAAAHHH!!!! The wait is killing me, I can't take it any longer, all these screenshots are doing is leaving me with more questions. Why, I tell you why?!?!?
O.k., now that's out of my system - oh, wow, look - 304942, I wonder what that means? Oh and a big flashy red button - I'm certain pressing that can only lead to wonderful things occurring...

The Ultimate Sacrifice is disabling the mass relay.

Well the focal point of the image is clearly the number on the screen, perhaps we should focus on that for now. Any ideas? (dont say number of reapers).
Theres 6 digits, Im somehow trying to desperately figure out a code that could turn those numbers into a MM/DD/YY release date lol

Thats good . But not likely . I would see that choice in mass effect 3 at the end or something like that . Because that would mean that ALL of mass effect 3 would be on earth . Witch is not that much of a good idea . Plus if Shepard locks himself in his system then that is one hell of a **** move for the rest of the galaxy . " okay guys we are out of here "

My guess:

The number, I think, is the number of ships anticipated to pass through the relay. Shepard is standing in front of the control panel and if he pushes the big button, the relay is disabled.

Maybe Shepard is in an Alliance facility.

To build the station, metallic asteroids were towed through the mass relays to the construction site in the metal-poor Arcturus system. Many of these asteroids remain in the Arcturus system near the station, their mined-out areas home to transient populations.

The Reapers arrive and attack earth. The ultimate sacrifice is Shepard being forced to shut down the Arcturus Relay in order to prevent the Reapers from getting anywhere else, thus leaving the Sol system to the Reapers until Shepard return with the military.

That's a good theory indeed, Chew. It could have been possible if we wouldn't have seen the teaser trailer for ME 3.

I have a question guys, does the Council (with the Cidatel) have the ability to close and open relays at will? Or it's just the reapers that can do that?
