The Reapers arrive and attack earth. The ultimate sacrifice is Shepard being forced to shut down the Arcturus Relay in order to prevent the Reapers from getting anywhere else, thus leaving the Sol system to the Reapers until Shepard return with the military. 

But the Reapers could still fly out of the Sol system at conventional FTL speeds without the use of the relays.  It would take them longer to get somewhere yeah, but it's not destroying the relay would leave them trapped in orbit of Earth.

Aren't we pretty much assuming at this point that the reapers have entered the galaxy from dark space under their own steam (not using relays, using their own FTL drives), why wouldn't they just set a course for another system at that speed?

Edit - Not to mention t he fact that the Reapers designed and built the relay network.  If some human can figure out a way to "turn it off", i'm pretty sure the Reapers can "turn it back on" again.

Thank you , now that I agree with . Plus its perfect . You sacrifice earth to the reapers . All reapers invade only earth . because it is the only thing they can invade . MASS EFFECT 3 trailer . Shepard has to gather everybody to go kick reaver ass . (end of the mass effect 3 trailer where they say shepard has to hurry ) It all adds up perfect .

I think that's just a random number. In both Mass Effect and the sequel there were always random numbers flashing all over the place, both in the environment and on the load screens.

Then again, there's a Mass Relay with a path there, so I think that's a code to unlock a relay, but that's totally a guess and blind speculation.

They haven't been given the chance.  They haven't been to the Citadel since it happened.  Odds are if they had, they would have..

Well 304942 minutes are roughly 211~212 days so it is probably no hint towards the release date of the DLC but maybe towards ME3?

October 12 is 211 days away, july 30 is the 211th day of the year, make of that what you want.

Well BioWare said they are aiming at 750,000 impressions. Maybe 304942 is what we're at right now until the full reveal of the DLC.

They could have easily edited the picture to have the number on it.

Well, if that is true, it is 8:52am there, so I don't suspect anyting until after morning coffee...so around 11am-1pm their time.

The website shows up as Hello World to me as well.  If they are prepping it for an update, it will take time to propogate so I can see where some would still get the redirect.

Damn time zones =D
Anyway, I think we´ll be hearing something soon enough, could be even before the Bratislava Game Expo...
