The only reason I think the number might mean something is because Jesse Houston wrote about it on his twitter page, and if you go to masseffect.bioware.com under the post of the new screenshot it asks "What does 304942 mean?".

It does seem a little crazy to look into that much, but I don't see why they would be asking about it if it didn't mean anything.

I get the feeling that Arrival will end ME2 with a; "TO BE CONTINUED IN MASS EFFECT 3" with the Reaper finally "arriving". Seriously, that's what the title means. If it doesn't mean that, then BW are just asses and wanted to fool everyone into buying it.

I think it is just the time till the reaper invasion and not the announcement. Those are in game screenshots so I doubt they would alter it just for a announcement when this has pretty much already been announced.

Looks like Mars to me, interface also seems pretty human.
Anyway, pushing Big Red Button always ends worse than you expected, it's a law.

The number is interesting, but I don't think we could ever possibly
have enough info to guess what it is.  Which is probably why they gave

Thank you , now that I agree with . Plus its perfect . You sacrifice earth to the reapers . All reapers invade only earth . because it is the only thing they can invade . MASS EFFECT 3 trailer . Shepard has to gather everybody to go kick reaver ass . (end of the mass effect 3 trailer where they say shepard has to hurry ) It all adds up perfect . 

So I think it's pretty clear now...

You know Bioware, than more common theory becomes than less chance of it's appearance. There is always place for surprise. This red button and relay picture look pretty clear though.
