Maybe its just a cut scene, but I havnt seen any squad in any shot yet either... makes one wonder

Long time ago was discussion that Shepard needs his own 'loyalty' mission. Perhaps it is?

Doubt it. I doubt they brought back all the voice actors to do a few lines that just go "I am le dead." or they'd kill off the squad that's said to be important in a DLC.

Personally I'm thinking the sacrifice will be the destruction of the Normandy SR-2 and EDI if only to give us a new ship in ME3.

Well, that's as close to confirmation that we're probably going to get that the lady in the "cage" was the good doctor that Shep went to rescue. The same lady and Shep are in somebody else's building and appear to be discussing the situation.

I don't know blue symbol that is over the doorway. I'd guess the Batarian Hegemony, but can't find a record of that.

We have what appears to be a countdown clock: 2 days, 3 hours, 25 minutes and 26 seconds, but that's another leap. And we don't know which planet's time it's based on, even if my guess was correct.

The weapon is the ML-77 Missle Launcher, it is not a new weapon.
