The only problem would be Bioware's excuse for your team not coming.
Liara: You'll have to do this mission on your own commander. Garrus is in the middle of some calibrations, and everyone else is watching.

Anyway, it can't be worse than "hey everybody let's get on the shuttle even though I can only bring two of you with me anyway"

Ok I know I going to get slapped for this but what is VS?TheMightyEthan wrote...
The idea that the VS returns for this DLC was never more than wishful thinking with absolutely nothing to base it on anyway. It's possible they'll return, but nothing we've seen has even hinted at that.

Right. The VS WILL be back by ME3, whatever happens, so let's just leave that alone and concentrate on the things that we DON't know that we CAN work out.
Namely: Object Rho. Waves. Enemies.
Also: countdowns, mass relays, dr kenson.

I agree wholly in principle, but there's a point of fundamental fairness here that shouldn't be passed over.
The Lair of the Shadow Broker tied up a major loose end featuring a character from ME1 with which Shep had a wrentching, brief and somewhat cryptic encounter in ME2. While I was never one of those who believed the VS would be featured in "Arrival," I don't think it is fair to say that so many players were just suffering "wishful thinking" when they hoped that the next big DLC would resolve the dangling loose end with the OTHER character from ME1 with which Shep had a wrentching, brief and somewhat cryptic encounter in ME2 — the Virmire Survivor.
Moving on, I agree that discussion time is better spent talking about things with a better prospect of happening.

Im just gonna say the notion that Shepard is flying solo makes sense with the theory that the DLC ends with him being captured by Batarians.

I couldn't agree more. Truly frustrating. No one wants to hear the word "Skipper" from a certain someone more than me, but if we pin all our hopes on it being this DLC, and it doesn't deliver, then it just makes it worse.
So as you say let's make what we can out of what we've got. #4 is a countdown, and little else. #5 is far more interesting.
Whilst the Rho artifact may not necessarily BE reaper tech, it certainly has a very nautical, wavy, tentacle like appearance much liek the reapers. Actually it reminds me a little bit of an Asari's headcrest.
That level, assuming it is the location for the 'fighting off waves' achievement, appears to be a large circular walkway with the Rho thing in the middle, and doors leading off. Bloody pain to defend without some Legion-loyalty-mission-style auto turrets, especially if Shep is flying solo.

When did they say this DLC was going to come out? O_o
Rumor is the 29th. Only from a UK game site that stated "UK retail" as its sources.
I'm on a wait-and-see approach if this is true. I'm not too quick to discredit this because release date info has came from outside sources before, and has proved true.
