I think this 'leak' was intentional. This very thread is an arm of their marketing plan for this DLC. I sincerely doubt that they would just accidentally get these achievements mixed up in a patch.

Granted, but it's a DLC, which makes it optional to the experience of playing the game (unless they make it somehow mandatory, which I just don't think would wash because it would alter the standalone-playability of the Mass Effect games by anchoring the stories to one another in a very permenant way). If someone makes this "ultimate sacrifice" that is actually significant to the dynamic of the game (like a squadmember) and a player opts out of the DLC and buys Mass Effect 3 only to be told in passing conversation - or one of those damned emails - that "Oh, So-and-so bought the farm on that planet we visited... man, that was a downer!" I think a lot of folk would be scratching their heads about it.

I can't help but think that as ominous as it sounds, it can't really relate to something as concrete as one of the established characters because of it being a DLC and thus optional content. A new character, mind you, that I can definately see.

Wait, i just realized something...

We're saving Dr. Amanda Kenson... the person in CDN who published a paper about the history of the relays... which means that she could finally have the proof we need to convince evryone about the Reapers! (provided they don't already show up in person)

They probably planned the leak.

The thread has not been locked, not a single comment to be found... They're waiting until excitement stops oozing from ever orifice on the bodies of fans before they break out the, "Oops! Those were originally achievements for Overlord that we weren't using..." stuff.

After the forums mount months of conspiracy theories and rage the likes of which blots the sun, BioWare comes back with a new splash-page on their website:

"Arrival" with giant Paragon and Renegade links without context.

After two months, they reveal their master plan.

If the Paragon option wins, they donate 5% of their sales of ME1, ME2, and ME3 over the next 6 months to various charities.

If the Renegade option wins, they charge 5% more for the DLC than they were planning without telling anyone.


...and I salute them.
