Woe.  I plan to have this substantial revision finished by Friday so I can take it easy (slightly) over my two week SPRING BREAK!  Lol!  Yeah, I never should have stopped by, but I'm so weak, so very weak.  I keep telling my husband to disconnect the internet at home until I'm finished and then I sneak on while I'm at school.

Let's all commiserate together. 
And then celebrate when we are all finished!

Aaand I'm a little scared about the Ultimate Sacrifice Achievement/Trophy!  What does this mean?!  I AM A STRICKEN! No more deaths! *coughatleastuntilmasseffect3cough*

Meh, another death wouldnt bother me so much.  So long as it's not my character doing the sacraficing anyway lol

Anyhoo it is family day (bank holiday) here in Edmonton, and I'm going to go hang out with my family for the day!  

If it makes it any better Bioware are not the first this has happened too (and probably won't be the last).  As I said in an earlier post Rockstar accidentally revealed that the GTA 4 DLC was coming to the PC by "accident" via the GFWL achievements.

Okay, so, we have to rescue some chick that's come across some vital information... wait a second... maybe 'Arrival' stand for Shepard Arriving at Earth to save this person... and while he is there, the reapers come and attack earth, so it's open an open ending.... in ME3 you'll have to flee from earth to get help from the citadel, the krogans (by curing the genophage if you saved the data), the geth (again, IF you made them allies like Legion) the Rachni (IF you saved them) and all of your former squad members, while Liara (as the shadowbroker) is searching for information on how to destroy even a SINGLE reaper.
That and more, leading up to the main battle: that starts in SPACE (Yes bioware, you promised us... :'( ) and ends somewhere on earth.

And if this is all true, ME3 will suck.... to easy guessing.

Sounds interesting actually. it may be interesting to set the arrival of the Reapers to the galaxy in
this DLC, or at least to make their arrival possible. Then ME3 start
point would be of the reapers already attacking Earth, as seen in the debut trailer (ME2 cinematic trailer was also the beginning point of the game).

I still think that it's too important plot step to be played as a DLC, but... when defeating Saren and the Sovereign in ME1, facing preperations for Reaper invasion, I never imagined I'll wake up in ME2 dissmissed by the coucil, being dead for two years, braught back to life to work for Cerberus, to fight a new species that's abducting humans (and destroy them), and meanwhile the council sits and do nothing about the Reapers (that we know of), despite of Sovereign.

So I guess anything can happen between ME2 ending point and ME3 starting point.

No, I will not reward Bioware for shafting two characters and ignoring them. Plus Walters is lead writer and has destroyed the series. It can't be saved. Us fans have waited over a year, Liara fans got what they want and it was amazing, but Ash/Kai fans have got nothing but getting ignored and shat\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\fted. If you can't understand that then don't bother responding.

Ever thought about that the VS fans gets something huge in ME 3?

I'm going to throw this out there for a bit of fun.



Fans have been asking for Virmire Survivor DLC for a while now and considering that there's a stealth mechanic involved in one achievement, I'm entertaining the possibility that this could be stand-alone DLC. Perhaps we get to play as Ashley/Kaiden (instead of Shepard and his squad) and address the opening events of the Reaper invasion while also tackling the Alliance-Reaper subplot (in Kasumi's mission, I spotted a Reaper in one screen). And this would culminate in the VS's death - the achievement title reminds me of dialogue surrounding Virmire.



Considering that if this deals with the arrival of the Reapers - if it does at all - what happens after completing the DLC? Are you released back into an unchanged galaxy? This would side-step this issue entirely while offering a new experience for players.



Of course, how would Shepard find out about the VS's death?



And finally, it's more possible and probable that this will be more run-of-the-mill normal DLC, with Kenson's death capping off the scenario (the sacrifice). However, if this is the case and Shepard and his squad tackle this mission, I'd say this points in favor of the ME2 squad returning in full for ME3.

Sure. But  I live in Alberta. It was introduced simply because we wanted a holiday in February.

Unless the Reapers had more in store for them. Had Saren succed he most liekly would have been killed. He hadl ived his purpose. Grayson however is hard to tell. Therem ight have been more to the mission then we see and he failed.
