Wait...if the leak wasnt intentional, wtf happened? lol....Wait, did Bob push the wrong button again? Jeez, I told you guys before that you really need to deep six that guy. I suggest tossing him out the nearest air lock if you had one. Otherwise, ritual sacrafice will be sufficient :D

Naw, when we added the trophies to the patch we just assumed that they would be invisible.  Lesson learned :)

Anyhoo it is family day (bank holiday) here in Edmonton, and I'm going to go hang out with my family for the day!

lol wow! Woops! O well, just builds up more hype, no harm done. I'm looking forward to the official reveal! :-D

Who wants to bet that you're going to HAVE to measure at least one squaddie for their space coffin?

I thought I'd read that if Shepard does not survive the Suicide Mission then in ME3 you would play as someone else. Guess I read wrong then.

Oh, I'm sure you read it right.  It's just this particular rumor is wrong, which of course doesn't stop people from spreading it.

Actually, Arrival  is a 1996's motion picture, starring Charlie Sheen. The plot revolves around a looming alien invasion of Earth. It has some of its motifs similar to the Reapers' motifs in the ME series, and ends with a cliffhanger.

I don't think Bioware's going to make you pay money to kill off your dudes.  In fact, killing off your dudes could mean that less people would buy it.

Yeah, imagine that: actually building DLC around the core game mechanics.  Shocker.

I was hoping they would make a DLC based around the planet scanning mechanics.

Object of Rho= Leviathan of Dis mayhaps???

Dr. Kenson is probably the closest person (besides the ppl we already know) to finding out the existence of the Reapers. The Batarians, who have been studying (possibly rebuilding) the Leviathan of Dis for 22 years, notice revealing connections between Kenson's paper and their own knowledge of the LoD. As a result, they decide to kidnap Kenson and use her knowledge of the Relays to help them understand the LoD. Unfortunately they reactivate the Reaper who starts ****ing their **** up by turning people into husks (somehow). In rides Shepard and co. who has to make the ultimate sacrifice (no idea what the sacrifice could be) in order destroy the LoD, but not before the LoD does something (vague, I know) that'll hasten the arrival his homies (which would explain how the Reapers made it from dark space to the Milky Way in a relatively short amount of time).

Just some random nonsense that came to my head.

The LoD dissapeard when a Salarian dreadnaugt arrived im thinkin if anyone is studying it its the Salarians (STG maybe)

It's true. On page 33, if I recall correctly, Bioware confirms that it's for real. They will have a press release soon but it's a holiday in Canada today. They thought they could include the info in the patch for PS3 save games and be safe, but goofed.

Edited P.S. If you do a web search for news articles on this topic, some of the articles provide a like to the BioWare rep's post on this thread.

They could make it an avoidable thing, since the code for handling deaths in the saves is already there.  They've done it before: you can kill Zaeed if you want to post-SM.

I was thinking, in the DLC, maybe the only way to stop the reapers from getting to the galaxy immediately is to shut of the mass relays (The Ultimate Sacrifice), that's why no reinforcements come in the ME3 teaser trailer, and Object Rho is some kind of Protheon technology that allows the Normandy to travel faster then a normal alliance ship, that's how they unite all the species together. But then that forms the question, once they're united how do they get anywhere?

Avoidable deaths, I am willing to believe.

My nightmare scenario for the next DLC was that all it did was add a bunch of planets, and they were only good for scanning.

And it has a huge "satellite dish" (which is actually a radio telescope) collapsing in the end!

When you scan, do you try to follow the planet's tropics (horizontal) or by timezones (vertical, curved)? I think horizontally is so more relaxing.
