Well that would be a great way to ruin the beginning of Mass Effect 3 now wouldnt it? I don't think Bioware is going to do something like that. I think the Dr. Kenson/searching Batarian controlled planets seems more likely. It will probably have a cliffhanger of an ending that bridges to ME3, expect to do missions and stuff that LEADS to the reapers arrival not just here ya go fight some reapers on Earth, and do the same in ME3.
Most likley not, Bioware STATED that the DLC was meant to bride the gap between ME 2 and ME 3, finishing off their DLC's with Reaper based DLC would definitley bridge this gap and bring us into the Mass Effect 3 storyline. ME 3 STARTS with the invasion of earth, the Reapers would already have started to assualt the milky way galaxy by than. sorry for double, thread lagged on me

This is totally a Reaper based DLC, no question about it. Sorry Ashley/ Kaiden fans.
Sorry Silvanend, forgot you programmed/wrote the dlc and worked for Bioware. You are totally right.

Yeah "Accidentally" is right. You're telling me that a corporation the size of BioWare forgets that the patch they release adds three new trophies to the trophy list. This is definately a planned leak.
A corporation their size forgot to do all sorts of stuff. Like make Conrad Verner work right, for instance. Yeah, it could be intentional, but I have no trouble whatsoever believing that they just plain f*cked up.

The following info is from other people on this thread. This is just a sum-up of what appears to be the DLC’s first mission. Any corrections to error's I've made in this summation would be appreciated.
KNOWN: There will be a new achievement badge for “Covert Action – Rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson without attracting hostile attention.” SOURCE: Data entries in the patch for the PS3 version of the game, published on this forum in the original post of this thread by Vamplosion.
KNOWN: Dr. Amada Kenson is scientist from the University of Arcturus who has published a paper declaring that most mass relays are far, far older than then Protheans, so much older that the same species couldn’t have built them. SOURCE: Cerberus Daily News – last entry before going on hiatus. (01.24.11)
KNOWN: There will be a new star cluster: Viper Nebula, with the Bahak System in it. The Bahak system has five planets: Clogon, Aratoht, Yunaca, Urnola and Bastzuda. There is a goal marker for “Save Dr. Kenson,” but no indication of which planet. All planets are listed as under batarian surveillance and most are inhabited. SOURCE: There are data entries for a new star system in the Alternate Appearance Pack 2, at least in the PC version. Thanks to didymos1120 and charmingcharlie (plus any others I don’t know about.) for confirming this on this thread.
KNOWN: The Bahak System is the same system where there was a testy situation between the Earth Systems Alliance and the Batarian Hegemony. The system’s in the Skyllian Verge. SOURCE: Cerberus Daily News (01.22.11 and 01.23.11. No other entries.)
A frigate from the batarian colony of Aratoht discovered an Alliance cruiser, the SSV Budapest, in the Bahak system. The Alliance claimed the Budapest chased pirates into batarian space.
(Note: On Earth, there is a widely recognized rule of “hot pursuit” that allows a nation to pursue pirate into the territorial waters of another country.)
The Budapest eventually left Batarian space, averting a worse crisis. The Alliance refused to release the ship’s logbooks to support the pirate claim.
For every planet in the Bahak system, EDI gives the same warning: “The Batarian Hegemony considers any presence of Alliance military vessels in batarian space as hostile. The Normandy SR2, while an independent vessel, strongly resembles the Normandy SR1, an Alliance ship. Use of stealth systems is highly recommended.”
Each of the planet descriptions let you know how intense its spy satellite surveillance is.
THEREFORE: Kenson is in batarian space and the Alliance can’t send in a rescue without risking a clash.
KNOWN: The Normandy is a Cerberus ship that’s fast and stealthy. It also has EDI and Joker.
Its chances of getting caught are much lower than a normal vessel and the consequences of it being caught – as long as you’re not on it – aren’t as dire (diplomatically) as the capture and destruction of an alliance ship.

But besides the whole VS thing, I have an intuitive hunch it's reaper based and more than likely viewed from an entire galactic standpoint, not just cerberus and humans. Council comes to mind: "Ah yes, Reap--- What is that..? IT'S DESTROYING EVERYTHING!! AAAGGHHH!!

Oh crap.
my "plot math" may be weak here folks, but Ultimate sacrifice is so much greater in this game's scale.
Remember that ME3 trailer? remember how you saw shepard turn AWAY from the window?
Shepard isn't bringing reinforcements... he is leaving earth to it's fate. He is sacrificing earth itself to buy time for the rest of the galaxy.
Don't buy it? Look behind a lot of the actions you take (assuming you play mr. goody two shoes like me). You spend a LOT of time strengthening a LOT of races with a heck of a lot of power.
The Rachni are breeding an army to fight the reapers
The Geth now have the resources of their full race, now that they have been re-written, and may just be on the path to ending their long standing war with their creators
The Krogan are now united under one, extremely powerful clan
The Citidel fleets are now equipped with far better technology (like the Thanix cannon, multicore shields and more)
most of the major crime syndicates have been toppled over
however... it's just like how the prothiens said.. it takes time to wipe out a species... In the trailer, 7 million died in the first week... there are 11 BILLION people on earth.
It's going to take time before earth is scrubbed out. Enough time to gather a united fleet to trap the Reapers in a gravity well where they cannot escape.
That is the ultimate sacrifice.
Nice summation.
@The people who say it will ruin the intro of ME3. Would you rather do trivial things from the ME2 close? Or open ME3 with a cinematic attack on Earth? All the DLC would do is allow you to see first hand what led to the attack. It's pretty clear from the trophies, that like LotSB this thing is likely to have a fixed outcome.

So this would mean we won't be able to continue playing the game after finishing the DLC?

Now that the PS3version is out and because it comes with all the DLC I don't see a problem with this one being an alternate ending. Of course it could just make a save at that point and just let you carry on playing. Plenty of games do that even though the plot is ended.

I mean how Bioware keeps us waiting for smallest bits of info.
Anyway,I hope this DLC has closed end.I don't know is that how you say it (English isn't my native toung) but what I meant is that after we finish the DLC,the game ends, like ME1.

Why does something significant happening in a DLC have to mean "can't play anymore"? If the ending of the game doesn't matter as far as that goes, neither does a DLC.
