When was the last time you saw our community co ordinator say anything other than this?
I think he posts using templates, and this is the only one he has

EA didn't give them new templates and microsoft took all of the ancient one... So bungie had to secretly hide one of the template in order to preserve the stability in the community... and maybe the world.

KNOWN: The Bahak System is the same system where there was a testy situation between the Earth Systems Alliance and the Batarian Hegemony. The system’s in the Skyllian Verge. SOURCE: Cerberus Daily News (01.22.11 and 01.23.11. No other entries.)
A frigate from the batarian colony of Aratoht discovered an Alliance cruiser, the SSV Budapest, in the Bahak system. The Alliance claimed the Budapest chased pirates into batarian space.
(Note: On Earth, there is a widely recognized rule of “hot pursuit” that allows a nation to pursue pirate into the territorial waters of another country.)
The Budapest eventually left Batarian space, averting a worse crisis. The Alliance refused to release the ship’s logbooks to support the pirate claim.
For every planet in the Bahak system, EDI gives the same warning: “The Batarian Hegemony considers any presence of Alliance military vessels in batarian space as hostile. The Normandy SR2, while an independent vessel, strongly resembles the Normandy SR1, an Alliance ship. Use of stealth systems is highly recommended.”
Each of the planet descriptions let you know how intense its spy satellite surveillance is.

First of all, Thompson family, thanks for the summery.
To the quoted passage: The comment about satellite surveillance in orbit dampens my hopes for a stealth mission a little. I know a ground side stealth mission where you have to avoid enemies is difficult to pull off with the constraints of the engine. The whole satellite surveillance could be a pretext for another mini game, where you have to scan/approach the planet without being detected. Worst case scenario: It's like an extension to the mining mini game (given the BW knows no one like that however, I hardly think so). Alternate scenario: It could be a shuttle landing flight (similar to the LotSB car chase, where you fly the Kodiak and have to avoid scanning beams, drones, etc.. That could be rather cool but not as cool as a ground side stealth mission would be.
Just a little speculation brfore I turn in, have a good night gys.
EDIT: Well, templates are evil which is why ECP uses them

besides the official forums are usually last to get official announcements.... really they should be actively seizing the publicity right now and revealing a few details, even if it's earlier than anticipated. to do the usual "wait till all the publicity has died off" is just shooting yourself in the foot again. far too many long periods of absolutely nothing mass effect related to keep more than hardcore fans invested in the series, despite the good DLC support BW have commited to with ME2 - just a little info tease, even concept art or something goes a long way, and gives blogs/news outlets something to use and massive free publicity for the game.

Can we please have Hackett call us in on this mission? I'm tired of the Illusive Man's e-mails. After all, the Alliance connection seems to be fairly strong in this DLC.
Hell yes.

If Balak does indeed return in this new DLC, i want to get back at him for almost killing those hostages in Bring Down the Sky DLC cause he did state that he as well as other batarian terrorist groups, answer to a higher authority.

Pretty please with a cherry on top! It's getting stupid that he keeps sending those e-mails even though I told him to shove it a long time ago.

Maybe the batarian thing is just one part of the DLC (like it was tracking down the asari Spectre in LOTSB).NYG1991 wrote...
Still curious about the name of the DLC. "Arrival" makes me think it's going to be reaper related but everything we've seen(very little) makes it out to be a basic high risk black op. I doubt we'll see any reapers popping in from dark space.
You rescue the Doc and then she gives you infos about the Reapers. After that you go get that artifact thingamajig. When you get the artifact some stuff happens that need the 'ultimate sacrifice'
Really vague, but these are just my thoughts, maybe I forgot some already-known details, but I try not to spoil it too much for me.

This is totally a Reaper based DLC, no question about it. Sorry Ashley/ Kaiden fans.
I find this post amusing. If it's about the Reapers then it pretty much means that Kai/Ash are automatically in since they are the only ones who have actually spent time investigating that stuff after Shepard's death (not to mention the ME3 description). What DLC would Kai/Ash be in if it wasn't for this? Bioware date sim mark 1?

I doubt it'll be the vague stay tuned now it's been leaked. I think I saw on one of the sites linked to in the first post that the same person who was embarrassed about the leak promised to give more info as soon as they got the green light, and it didn't sound like it'd be weeks, of course, you never know, but I doubt it.
You obviously missed Chris Priestly's post on the situation (which can be considered Bioware's "official" response") which was exactly that a "stay tuned" post. :-

Not that I am criticising Bioware for this, **** ups happen. In my books they have already done a hell of a lot more than most other companies have done when something like this happens. Any other company would have ignored their fanbase and stayed completely silent on the leaked achievements. However Bioware held up their hands and went "it's a fair cop, yep there is new DLC coming and you will get more info soon".
If you want a time scale I imagine we will hear more about the DLC by the middle of March with a possible release by the middle of April or the end of April.
I also do not think the Arrival means the arrival of the Reapers, it really doesn't make sense for them to deal with something as major as that in some DLC. I also think that the ultimate sacrifice will be Shepard, if this is the last DLC they will want to go out on a cliffhanger. So I personally believe something is going to happen to Shepard but we won't know exactly what happens to Shepard till ME 3.

How would you know The_Illusive?
Shepard should stay loyal to the Alliance, but he can't just like that come back to them. Cerberus, remember. And if Hackett starts to conntact Shepard, guess what happens to him

You missed my point. I meant I doubt it'll take as long to get info, I doubt the bioware input will be as small, and I doubt it'll be as vague as LotSB. I just don't think we'll be getting another long LotSB type info blackout.
