You missed my point.  I meant I doubt it'll take as long to get info, I doubt the bioware input will be as small, and I doubt it'll be as vague as LotSB.  I just don't think we'll be getting another long LotSB type info blackout.

Well being an optimist never hurt anyone I guess :P .  I would say going by Chris's statement that we shouldn't expect any information very soon since he clearly specifies "weeks".  I would be surprised if we hear anything before they have Dragon Age 2 out the door and on the shop shelves.  Just because the info has been leaked does not necessarily mean they will move things forwards.

In my experience companies have a release schedule that is drawn up montths in advanced and they are reluctant to veer from that schedule.  All this leak means is an extra bit of "hype" that will die down and a few extra complaint posts on the board when they don't bring new information out when people expect them too.

The community will pretty much have the whole plot of the DLC summed up by the time they announce something, I'm guessing. =|

Also, 2001 replies! =D

Right field is too predictable; not to get too off-topic.

I know this is pages behind, but I love that idea. Well... I hate the thought of humanity being cut off, but honestly that's probably the most blinding sacrifice that could be made.

Wow, now I'll be disappointed if it's anything else, losing contact with Earth for well... a very, very, very long time is quite intriguing.

Doesn't seem like this is the last one since the info about it has already been posted on CDN. They still have to release a DLC that has more CDN entries.

the cdn entries lead up to the release of a dlc so assuming this is the last one this dlc will have some cool cdn entries

Then, referencing my earlier post (see below), maybe this thread will reach 300 pages before we get some info :)
I still don't think we'll be getting another LotSB type blackout though.

Hmm, a name of a DLC, a bit of info, a lot of speculation, and the odd screenshot. Waiting for info, guesses that the info will be released at an event, and a speculative release date. Familiar, anyone? What are the bets that this thread will get to 300 pages before we get some info? lol.

Yes, this had come to mind, my guess is this one, then one more, then ME3.

my theory for the arrival dlc ultimate sacrifice

am i the only one that thinks the sacrifice is the sol systems mass relay because this doctor is studying the relays and no reinforcements have come to earth in the me3 teaser trailer and since the reapers claim they built the relays the could use one of their own to build a new sol mass relay to get to earth

Well... if we get enough crazy ideas of what is going to happen we might just get it through random chance. Go monkeys, type me the plot :devil:

If this news is on the level, I feel that there are 3 things that are likely:

1) The last ME2 DLC (as per bioware) is to bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3;

2) The "rumored" name of said DLC is Arrival, thus indicating that the Reapers have reached the Galaxy and have begun their genocide (this may not happen till the end of the mission, but I expect it will only be playable after completion of the suicide mission);

3) There is an achievement labeled "Covert Action" which taken literally means that Shepard will likely be undertaking a mission which requires absolute discretion (not his strong point);

4) Another leaked achievement is titled "The Ultimate Sacrifice." I know no other sacrifice the could be greater than someone Shepard trusts and cares for, sacrificing themselves to ensure the mission's success which means that what ever mission he is on, it will be of the upmost importance in stopping the Reapers.

Not to be considered canon yet, but just my 2 cents on what we can expect based on the fiction itself and a literal interpretation of the leaked info

Three Pages again already? Well, time for another public service announcement:

To spare people from a search, here's a bare-bones version of facts many people put on this thread. If you want the sources and citations, you'll have to go back several pages.
“Covert Action – Rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson without attracting hostile attention.”
The DLC will add the Viper Nebula, with the Bahak System in it. The Bahak system has five planets: Clogon, Aratoht, Yunaca, Urnola and Bastzuda. There is a goal marker for “Save Dr. Kenson,” but no indication of which planet. The system’s in the Skyllian Verge.
Dr. Amada Kenson is scientist from the University of Arcturus who has solid evidence that mass relays are far, far older than the Protheans
The Bahak System is the same system where Cerberus News, just before the hiatus, reportered a testy situation between the Alliance and the Batarian Hegemony. The batarians found an Alliance cruiser, the SSV Budapest, there. The Alliance claimed the Budapest had chased pirates into batarian space. The Budapest left Batarian space to avert a worse crisis. The Alliance refused to release the ship’s logbooks to support the pirate claim.

THEREFORE: Kenson is in batarian space and the Alliance can’t send in a rescue without risking a clash.

The Normandy is Cerberus ship, not Alliance. It’s fast and stealthy. It has EDI and Joker. If any ship and any crew can get in, rescue Kenson and get out, it’s the Normandy.

This thread is back on track with the same people as around 3:00 AM? I guess none of us have lives when DLC is announced. Any new events since I left?

Christina Norman was tweeting about what she wants to see at GDC... I wonder if we 'll be seeing an announcement there?

Reading Thompson's post again, I can't help but think Joker and EDI will actually speak and have fully-fledged dialogue for the DLC.
