Aww the actual trophy pictures aren't visable. If they were present and simply uncolored, it might explain if there were any new temp party members in it.

I guess so. Still, it makes you think. Pacifen and Priestly quickly assured us yasterday that it was legit. Very curious indeed.....

My best bet for the price of this new DLC will be the same as Shadow Broker DLC, around 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, and 800 BioWare Points on PC.

Considering the time-frame it took them to create this DLC, it may be huge, consisting of around 5 or 6 hours of gameplay and cost 1200 MP.

To this date, not Mass Effect DLC has even peaked the 3 hour mark.

This DLC might be just another 2 hour DLC that we are used to. I don't think Bioware will do an "Awakenings" type DLC for ME2.

Oh trust me. With the evidence we have, it's gonna be heck of long. Trust me.

Indeed.  I seriously doubt it was a deliberate leak.  I see one of 2 possibilities.  1, they just wanted to assure us it was genuine, but are not providing any more info until they were going to anyway.  2, after the leak they decided they may as well use the hype to get people interested, so made sure people knew it was a real dlc coming.  I think it could be either one, but please note that mr Priestly usually does his utmost to make sure we know nothing until he's ready to announce it.  That kind of makes me think 2, but then I think how big this thread has grown and it could just be so there wasn't a massive load of guessing as to what it was and whether it was real or not, if this is the case, they only succeeded on 1 count out of 2 there.  So basically I don't guess one over the other. One thing though, if it was the first one, I doubt it'll be because Mr Priestly was feeling sorry for us.  No offence meant to him, but he is called evil Chris Priestly for a reason.....

Either way, I doubt it'll be that long with what's already been done and said about this dlc, and whether this means they give us info sooner is anybodys guess.

Yes, I bet it will be a big long dlc.  I'm hoping that it'll cost a load of points, since more points means more length.  And as far as I'm concerned, the longer the better.

Totally agree. I know we're all nerdgasming about this but we should accept that it probably won't be a 6 DLC about the Reaper invasion.

We can dream, of course...

We can do a bit more than dream. Apparently we can fill an 84 page thread. Anyway, I dunno if it'll be about the reaper invasion, here's hoping, but dunno, but I seriously think it'll be longer than LotSB, by a fair bit, possibly more.

"Arrival" is a strong and simple word -- especially considering that we all know the Reapers are coming. I'd be very, very surprised if it referred to anything else but the discovery of the way the Reapers are going to get here and the first signs of their approach. The big invasion of Earth, however, is surely being saved for ME3.

One of the big loose ends left hanging by ME2 was Dark Energy. Halestrom survivors, Gianna Parasini, Veetor -- they all mention it.

I think the batarians are being used, knowingly or unknowingly, by the Reapers to get back. Dark Energy may or may not have something to do with it.

If I remember correctly, they said that they originally planned for multiple DLC scenarios to make up the time between ME2 and 3. They stated recently that the DLC they were working on snowballed into something massive. Also, something to point out: the achievements for PS3 might only be 3 in number, we don't know about XBox 360. Also, whose to say that it'll be the same size as LotSB? If they said its massive, I'd wager it'd be like adding a third disc to ME2. (Personally just a hope, and probably a faint one).

One thing I'd like to be available in a DLC package: telling the Council. If you're going to be busy rallying the galaxy to defeat the Reapers in ME3, are you really gonna waste time going to the Citadel to see if the morons are going to actually listen to you?

Also, in regards to the Citadel... anyone think that maybe that's the 'Ultimate Sacrfice'? The Reapers are fairly cunning, and one of the best strategies would be to take out the center of Galactic Government, along with billions of sentients including the Council. That would leave the galaxy reeling, and Shepard would need to race around in ME3 to unite the races of the Galaxy, along with settling disputes.

I think I'll start a separate thread regarding that in the more spoiler-centric section of the site.

shivering isles costs 1600 (I think, I bought the day it came out... years ago) so a 1200 DLC would rock everyone's socks off.

Yeah, I suppose.  Thinking back to a few key facts, I too think it'll be something to do with the reaper arrival.

"They stated recently that the DLC they were working on snowballed into something massive."

That sounds very hopeful.

" Also, whose to say that it'll be the same size as LotSB? If they said its massive, I'd wager it'd be like adding a third disc to ME2."

That'd be brilliant, but doubtful, but massive in size sounds about right.  Well, there goes my hope of keeping everything on a 20GB hard drive lol.  I'll still manage it probably, just, though when ME3 comes out.....

Telling the council would be great, when I heard about the bridging plan, that was the first thing that came to mind, I've since thought how it might be done, some evidence from the collector base or something was one idea, but obviously not.

I seriously doubt the citadel is the ultimate sacrifice though.  Sounds like a life, like yours, but ultimate sacrifice for shepard would probably refer more to a squad mate, for shepard I would guess particularly love interest, though I seriously doubt that (and very much hope not).  Just my 2 cents on what I think it sounds like for shepard.

Awakening is an expansion. Not a DLC.

And if Arrival has something to do with Reaper(s) showing up it could be an expansion.  I just can't see a Reaper's arrival being a little hour long distraction, assuming thats what it's about.

I think it would be awesome if this new dlc had the reapers moving into the known galaxy (hence the name arival). And the last scene in the final dlc could be a shot of the reapers hovering above Earth ready to send down an evasion army. Thus setting it up for ME 3. I doubt this will happen but it would be sweet.

Massive sounds good. Although it is relative, maybe they thought LotSB was already massive. Wouldn't get my hopes up too high for more than 3 hrs.

As for resolving the potential issues with the council: It will have to be in ME3, Squeezing it into a DLC would be cheap (and bad). Besides, not talking to the council when rallying the galaxy would be like trying to rally all the Nations of the world but refusing to talk to the UN (and possibly the governments of the US, the EU and China) because you don't like them. That would be petty and ridiculous (not to mention that some Sheps out there are still spectres).

The ultimate sacrifice is going to be somebody giving their life up for the mission.

My completely speculative candidate for the job is Thane. He's emotionally, spiritually and practically prepared for this. He has things he still believes he needs to atone for.

My second guess is the Virmire survivor. Shep and VS reconcile during this DLC. Shep and others are caught and have to get away. The VS survivor says something like: I owe you my life, commader. Time to pay you back.

What about the "big reward" that BW promised in ME3 for who didn't cheat on VS? I don't think he/she's goind to die. My guesses are more pointed to the ME2's squaddies... killing 2-3 of them to have extra space for new squadmates in ME3 would be better than whipin out them all with another silly twist at the beginning of the next game. Or, simply, the sacrifice means that Shepard will have to take a critical decision that will cost many innocent lifes.

First off, neither Kaiden nor Ashley is necessarily Shep's love interest.

What was promised, IIRC, was possible dire consequences if your Shep cheated, not a big reward if s/he stayed faithful.

Then LotSB came out. By every account I've heard, the naughty Shepards were able to reconcile with Liara just fine. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
