One of my main concerns over DA2 is the time jumps. I don't know or understand how they will work in the game. Will we have to do a big quest during that time period and before we "gather our party and venture forth" for that big quest, will we have a notice saying there will be a time jump once you complete this quest? And if we get the Meet Isabela quest during a specific time period, will it only we available in that one period of time?
How Do Time Jumps Work?

I'm sure it'll be like, if you don't do this, this, and that, you won't advance in "time". Optional quests will probably be the only things that you'll miss out if you don't look for them.

I recall hearing that we would be notified beforehand so that we could finish up sidequests.
But mostly, I think it involves a time-proof shelter. Like in Futurama.

Yeah, but one of main worries is the fact that the meet Isabela quest is optional. It's been confirmed you can go the whole game without ever meeting her.

Well, DA:O had a "Main Quest" section of the journal. Just avoid doing thee and do side-quests isntead and eveything will work out.

But isn't that the same with Sten and Leliana?Elfman wrote...

I remember reading that some side quests will no longer be available after certain time jumps, and some still will be available but the situation will have changed.
