Man, I so disappointed by the community after spending an hour browsing the forums... I thought since Bioware's been making RPGs for 12 years the community would be more mature. Boy, was I wrong... Do the hardcore guys whine so much or these are the new fans who came after Mass Effect? Are there any old guys here?

Whinning about bow strings and floating weapons. Maker, help us...

No, the main reason is that TW2 gets brought up a lot on this forum by fans who think it's going to be lovely and compares the precieved faults of DA2 quite regularly to the precieved "betterments" of TW2.  And people attached with that stigma are going to typically get more hostile treatment from people who get worked up from such a thing.

People need to calm down though and not get so worked up over TW2 fanboys.  If you need a DA2 ego boost, just go over the TW forums and read all the constant conplaints over there as well(trust me they have their fair share as well).

Hell, I found amusing myself who complains over there as much as they do here.

Actually it was the Bioware marks that asked the question "what games don't have floating weapons?"  When I said "The Witcher 2" you all are the ones who started the anti-witcher argument by throwing out utterly baseless claims. 

Also you must have been watching an old gameplay video because the last couple have had no noticable clipping issues.  As for the floating weapons, you must be watching some video that I haven't because I haven't seen anything of the sort.

Nah, it was an internal gamplay video.  And not just one video either..  Not to mention, the screen shots in this very thread have clipping in them.

Again, I am tired of the Witcher 2 comparisons.  It is childish!

I suppose there is very minor clipping, but it is barely noticable.  I coule only notice if I looked very closely.

Also why are you so offended by people comparing DA2 to other games?  If another developer is doing something better then what harm is there in criticism?  If we don't make suggestions then how the hell is Bioware going to improve their games?  We arent here to pander to them and suck up.  We are here to discuss video games.

Actually, we are here to talk about Dragon Age 2, not other video games.  There are forums for that.  Last I checked, this was the Dragon Age 2 general discussion forums, correct?

And maybe I am getting defensive but I doubt there are DA2 people on TW2 forums trolling like what has been going on here.

It's because on TW2 forums we are very civil, and don't go on zealous crusade whenver somebody criticizes our game, unlike you people on DA2 forums whenever someone (I) criticize the game or don't like how it's going in its current direction you take it up as a Templar Quest as if you were back during the Crusades.

Nobody in this thread has said that, except you. Do you even own DA:O?

Yep, and own The Witcher as well.  Love them both.  I had an issue registering my game so it doesn't come up under my Avatar for some reason.  My Avatar is one of my characters from the game.

And not just this thread, there have been many, many threads that have been locked or just ignored that are often derailed by  TW2 trolls.

If you don't think the weapons are going to have clipping issues at the cost of this... Well, I'll believe it when I see it. I doubt a company that is just as "terrific" with game engines as Bioware, would fix the issue w/o major hardware needed.

I amnot talking about you specifically, never have been and sorry if my post gave you that idea..  But we are here to discuss DA2, not TW2.  That is what their forums are for.

I said i want scabbards and i do not want floating weapons in DA3 but why do people have to come in here and talk about the witcher 2 AGAIN. Why don't they ****** off to the witcher 2 forum and all high five eachother and have a witcher 2 fan gangbang.

I completely agree with you, chap. Floating weapons don't bother me in the slightest. I could honestly care less, I'll still be having loads of fun while someone else sits around squinting, nit-picking, and all-around disliking every little thing about the game.

Because The Witcher 2 has scabbards implemented? They're pointing to The Witcher 2 as a way of saying "see, it can be done!" They're not on The Witcher 2 forum writing this because they want to see it done in Dragon Age.

Please go back to the first page.  As I have said, somewhat posed the question "what games have fixed the floating weapons issue?".  I stated TW2 as an example, and you and the other Bioware marks began attacking TW2 for no reason which is what started the debate.  And we are talking about Dragon Age 2.  We are simply using TW2 to reference something another developer is doing that Bioware could do as well.  We aren't trolling.  YOU are the only person in this thread who is trolling, sir.  If you cannot accept criticism that isn't even directed at you then I think it is time you got off the internet for a while.

I'm 20 years old, but BG was one of my first PC games alongside Half-Life and I've played every BioWare game since. Do I count as an old guy?

I just think that the no bow strings thing looks silly.
