I just finished Origins for the 4th time!
However I noticed there is no Post Campaign autosave in Awakening and Witch Hunt, so you can't have a savegame including the final moments of both of them.

I think (but maybe I am wrong, in case please explain me) that any save from Awakening or Witch Hunt is useless. The important thing is just playing Origins before...

No, it has been said many times by the devs that any choices made in Awakening or WH will import over into DA 2.

Awakening doesn't need a postgame save. It has one right before the final boss. You've already made all the significant decisions by that point. Only thing left to do is defeat Mother, but that can be assumed.

Witch Hunt does have a postgame save.

Awakenings, Witch Hunt, and Golemns of Amgarrak all autosave when you complete them. I believe thats how the saves will carry over. For instance, I played DAA, then GoA, and finally WH. So my final save in WH is the one ill import.

I am sure. If you don't have a Witch Hunt autosave, then you might not be running the the most recent version.

Did you patch Witch Hunt? The one that came with the Ultimate edition needs a patch before it will create the end save.

Are said choices relevant/important? - I've not played Awakening or Witch Hunt due to auto-loot not working for Awakening.

Well, I play Dragon on PS3 and yes, it has an autosave at the end.  I watched it physically autosave and also the photo (that is above the save info) is one my marden, Dog, Finn and Ariane standing around the book that Morrigan tells you about so....yeah.

Yes, as long as you have the 1.1 patch for Witch Hunt, it WILL create a save after you deal with Morrigan. Save has a little pic of you standing with Morrigan outside the portal, taken the split second before the credits start.

1. The developers clearly stated that Witch Hunt's decisions would be taken into account in DA2.  Are they outright lying?

2. If it didn't matter, there would be no reason for it to have a save, which it does.  If it doesn't, then you just need to get the latest patch. Then it does.  Because it matters.

Delete and redownload the DLC (you can do that free with PS3, right? Only have 360 myself)
