what is the best equipment for my mage?
i am basically a DPS fire mage
i have the fire tree the walking bomb tree and the glyph tree
you can look up the equipment i have now in my profile
i was going to buy reaper's vestments but apparently they are only good for arcane warrior, and i have about 100 gold saved up, so if you could suggest to me what i should buy for my mage, or what i should equip i would be very grateful

note, i have completed circle of magi, haven, and most of denerim's market district

Reaper is not for arcane warrior, is just a defensive robe

if you use mostly fire as main dmg you should get a staff with +% fire dmg (as the preorder one if you have it), the gloves with +20% fire dmg and the ring with +10% fire dmg

for robe it depends, if you want a bit more protection go with Reaper, if not go with the other one in the same shop (dont remember the name but is the one with +5 spell potency and mana regen) for boots i like the ones with defence and hate reduction (have not found any fire boots but maybe they are around too)

the other stuff depends by your taste... and what spec you got, there are some nice defensive (but expensive) jewels around, as ones that can boost your spell potency or blood magic (if you got it)

The Life Giver ring from the lyrium-poisoned vendor in Orzimmar is a great ring for mages (or your tank). +10 constitution on a ring, along with a bunch of other stats? It's almost overpowered!

Also, the Spell something amulet which is sold by the campsite vendor, the one with +30% spell resistance.

For Archers' well, I haven't found a truly godly bow yet, though for the Elven/Werewolf mission the Elven vendor will make a bow for you with +8 damage to beasts, which helps. As for armour, either the exceptional drakescale or the armour sold by the dwarven vendor by the entrance to Dust Town.

Go to the "Wonders of Thaddus" in Denerim. Good mage staffs and robes as well as belts and rings. It is in the market district west side. Get the belt that gives xp every time you read a codex and wear it. I watched my xp move in the shaper's Memories in Ostagar with it. Though I would have liked a better robe set. The chantry set makes every female look stacked while the mage sets make you look flatter. Exceptions being the Witch Robe and Tevinter set. They make Wynne look good.

for Rangers the Daelish armor and the leather set from the Dwarven Vender near Tapsters is awsome.
