Rushed would mean they released the game before they had time to do everything.

That's not the case with DA2. The game was ALWAYS meant to be done quick and cheap. DAO maybe sold well but had a lond dev cycle and cost a lot of money. EA's in charge here, they do quantity not quality

Well maybe for a Witcher fan. I'm sure you wish they spent more time designing sex cards with erotic artwork on them as a reward for all the women you bed. Oh wait this isn't The Sexer 2 this is Dragon Age 2 wrong game. I'm sure The Sexer 2 will please you. And if you are American and they censor it again you can fight to get a patch to free that all important game aspect.

Please stop the Witcher bashing, it only gets threads closed.

ANY REVIEW put out BEFORE a game has gone gold is paid advertising, pure and simple.

Do any of you reading this really think they bothered to play, replay, and critically analyze the game before writing that review? If so, I admire your naive outlook.

No reviewer ever does. To trust any review, ever, is pure foolishness.

On topic: I've been playing games since the NES. Every game I've ever played has recycled environments, to a greater or lesser degree.

After it went gold, 2 more reviews came out

and both reviews were very good, since both magazines dont toss out 90+ raitings like say IGN. Gamestar for example only gives about 2-3 90+ raitings a year, and they test every pc game there is. BUT HELL, 87 means its the worst and most ****ed up game ever.

Indeed, I have heard enough about TW(both positive and negative) for one day.

I may like TW, but KOTOR and ME2 are the 2 best RPGs I've ever played (and one of the greatest games ever made). That doesn't mean I have to kiss BioWare's balls and approve of their every whim

a lond dev cycle

DA:O's dev cycle has been since they released screens in 2004. The game was not incredibly long or epic or even superbly memorable despite taking 6 years to create.

So your whole post is a joke. Thank EA that the game got released at all, because it was looking a bit like Duke Nukem forever.

I normally agree with your posts, but had to point that out.

I'm not gonna dig up articles and quotes for you now, but devs has said multiple times that DAO was too expensive to make even despite the sales, and that all of the changes for DA2 were done so that it's cheaper

Thats a load of bull.  If they wanted to make the game super cheap they wouldnt have changed the graphics, they wouldnt have changed the combat system, they wouldnt have changed anything.  If their only goal was to make a super cheap game they would have not changed anything except the setting and story.

It's funny how you **** about The Witcher, because it had casual sex with some women, but not about DAO and DA2. The whole forum is ****** to the gay dwarf sex in Dragon Age, yes, it makes the game so mature. Oh no, wait, it makes it a dating simulator.

I'm really hoping for a toolset, here. That would fix this up like nothing.

And stop TW bashing. That has nothing to do with this discussion. I'll be tempted to report some of you if it doesn't stop.

But bashing DA2 is fine? It's all swings and roundabouts if you want to playt the game i'll play too. I just find it ironic that the porno fan has so much to say about a game that';s not even out yet so i thought i'd discuss another game.

Dragon Age: Origins did it, and that point is valid because everybody still LOVED that game.

DA2 might as well have not improved on anything form Origins by that logic, because people still would have LOVED it just like Origins.

There was nothing to improve on in Origins, the story was well told, the difficulty was hard but not frustrating and the characters were interesting, even the minor ones and even though some areas were cut and pasted it didn't take away from the fun and enjoyable experience.

LOL

I honestly find it funny that you go "LOL", but can't describe your points on what there was to improve. Please, enlighten me.

I don't think I really need to explain. There's no logic in saying that there was nothing to improve on in Origins. It's completely devoid of common sense.

Equaling, "I have nothing to say because I cannot analyze a game for
what it is." Dragon Age: Origins was lacking NOTHING because it was
classified as an immense roleplaying experience, and that's what it was.

It had a great story, was interesting and the experience was enjoyable.

Please tell me how you improve on something which has earned its right
as a roleplaying game? It wasn't as if you never made choices or the writing was terribad. In my eyes, it had nothing to improve on because it was the roleplaying experience it promised, to me anyway.

Here's a shockingly on-topic post:

So long as the cut-and-pasted levels don't involve a Mako, I think I can learn to deal with it.

I dont mind it if I have to go to the same area to fight again, but I do mind if I go to a different area and that area is just a clone of one I've been to before

So long as it meets a single criteria, without regard to even that criteria's quality, no element of that thing has room for improvement?

That's a bit absurd.

The difference is that The Witcher is off-topic on these forums.  Any Witcher-related stuff gets closed.

Now, back on topic.

I guess people are going to have to repeat that the copy & paste areas appear to be related to the sidequests like the caves. *rolleyes* How bad is it? Probably as "bad" as ME1, and since you love to mention the ME series all the time, I guess you shouldn't have a problem with it.

Hmm, see I am thinking the trolls will be here until way after I am gone when DA2 comes out.

There seems to be a mission, and that mission is to cause trouble.

But yes, we do need to feed them less.  Maybe they will die out to acceptable numbers.

Oblivion is an open-world game with a huge setting. There's a difference.
