Do you mean Ash and Kaidan in general or what happened on Horizon?
I think we all kinda agree Horizon sucked.
I was talking more in the general sense. Alot people want the new ME2 DLC to have them killed.

But Ashley is not racist. She's suspicious, cynical, independant. But not racist.
And Kaiden was no more boring than Jack. Or Thane. And a better dresser, btw

It is especially important perspective, this is only appearance. Everyone does not feel the need to scream in every topic the same thing.
There are no more hate than there is love. But we can see just who are the loudest, must feel the need to make their voices heard, often provocative, because they feel that their opinion does not prevail can be finally
Because they feel that many people would return to Kaidan / Ashley, they shout louder, they are ready for more attention. It's a human reaction.
Pay no attention to the reactions of bsn forumer x)

If you check the polls about favorite characters aliens are liked a lot more than humans.
Plus the VS life doesn't revolve around Shepard and they don't hero worship Shepard. I find them less annoying than other characters

Wasn't Ashley crapping on about loving god and not trusting alien races in ME1? Then there were the logs @ Normandy crash site. Racist, insular, belief-oriented imho. Perfect soldier
So that V-Rex doesn't have to do his thing...
In ME1, Ashley only really brought up her belief in God once. There were at most two other times when it got mentioned, but she certainly didn't "keep going on" about it.
As for not trusting aliens - that doesn't make her racist, just cautious. As someone who lives in England, I don't expect the American Government to have my interests at heart, so I can't blame her for mistrusting some interstellar space aliens that made first contact - violently - less than a century ago.
And the logs at the Normandy Crash site were Pressly's logs, not Ashley's. And even in that context, Pressley changed his mind. You can see the same thing happen to Ashley in ME1, if you talk to her often enough.
In short - I don't mind you having a different opinion on a character. The world would be an incredibly boring place if everyone had the same opinion. But please get your facts straight.

Actually, those logs were for Pressley.
Ashley does have issues trusting others, much like some people don't trust someone from another nation. She's had bad history with aliens and never allowed to work with them due to Allience brass stupidity over her family history. As for her religious beliefs, I fail to see how it has any remote baring to things, she mentions it once (beyond the typical 'oh god's that almost everyone does several times) and it's never brought up again, regardless how you respond to it.
Kaidan was the one I could never form a connection to. I never had any problem leaving him on Virmire beyond not liking having no choice in leaving someone behind.

That's not the primary reason though. If you do A/K stuff you have to do it twice and you only get half of the return.
What was LotSB ? Hour and a half ? If they did something similiar for A/K it would be 45 minutes. And cost more.

Not necessarily, but this isn't really the place to talk about that. We've covered it on the A/K DLC thread.
In short - cutscenes, dialogue, reactions would all (ideally) be different. The context of each would be the same, but it's two different characters in the same situation.
As for the mission - which makes up most of the DLC - no real reason to change environments, mission structure, anything like that.
The main time-sink would be making sure that they both worked as squadmates for the DLC, since they'd have different powers. But that would take up development time, and yes, money, but not too much DLC memory.
Are they more awkward to work around dev-wise? Yes. Are they too difficult to handle? That's for Bioware to decide. Would we like to have them back? That's for us to decide. And personally - yes, I would like Ashley and Kaidan to make a return.

Last time I posted something against popular opnion in there I got banned.
You must be really desperate if you want the Horizon clones back.
It would also mean half the time as well since you would have to make the overall mission shorter. For anyone not a "fan" that would be unacceptable. Not only would they use more money making it, in the end all they would create what was a "fan piece".
Other obvious stuff like the cost of 2 VA's etc.

That depends. You you have ME 1 imports with Ashley alive, and imports with Kaiden alive?

I don't want the Horizon clones back, I want the ME1 characters back. I just don't mind if they find themselves in the same situation.
But nonetheless, I see your points. I agree that a VS DLC would be more expensive than a DLC that didn't involve them. And there would be a bit of a hit to the memory - ie size of the DLC. I'm just hoping that Bioware finds a way to work around those issues.
And yeah, I'm aware that the VS's popularity isn't exactly through the roof. But hey, I'm an optimist. Even when it hurts.
