Early one looks way better to me, why change the appearances?

Their hair looks a lot faker in the first screenshot. Beth's hair looks plastic and Hawke's beard just looks really weird.

It seems from the dislike of the new art style during early screenshots, BioWare changed it to look more realistic.

And now people are still complaining about the graphics. Natural.

I do not thing that Hawke wants to walk around with brown hair and a black beard. I also don't think Bethany wants to have purple hair, as awesome as it is.

I guess this is because you can't have Romance with her because she's your sister... so better she's ugly ahahah!

I'm still unsure when and why exactly did Hawke's eye color change. Probably at the same time as Cassandra's hair.

They look pretty much the same, they just have different lighting and a few minor tweaks.

Aren't they different graphics settings? Just look at the shadows on Hawke's face in the first one.

I don't like what they did to Hawke's eyes, but whatever, you can customize your own char.

I remember when the first pic came out and I was worried about the art style/graphics of DA2. Bethany looks silly with purple hair and Hawke's beard looks like it was just in an oil spill.

Second pic looks way better.

The only thing which looks better in the first screenshot is Hawke's blood smear. Everthing else in the latter looks much improved in my eyes.

I think it looks good either way though the first shot Beth's hair just looks funny...It was most likely a texture issue and as for Hawke's beard...Chuck Norris was probably gunna sue for trying to mimic his awesomeness Kidding lol

I find it strange. In DAO Morrigan had amber eyes because they wanted her to look different and shapeshiftery. And now Hawke and Isabela have similar colour and even Varric I think.

I have to say I remember seeing that shot a while back and the only thing that stood out were the amazing eyes.

They just look so realistic and well shadowed, it's hard for me not to say that the new eyes look like crap.

*Oh, still a vast improvement over Origins, mind you. :happy:

The only thing I find worse is the sword hilt. Bethany looks much better, and I'm glad that Hawke no longer dyes his beard. That really bugged me when I first saw that image ages ago.

I also just realised that Hawke's ear has improved massively. In the first pic it just looks like a blob, no depth at all.
