On Tali's recruitment mission, on the room with the cloaked drones, about half way in the room, when the second Geth Prime appears(insanity run), the game had a massive stutter/FPS drop, i mean it was like 1 or 2 frames per second. I though it was gonna crash but it didn't so i exited the game and restarted the console. After i loaded a save before the room everything was fine, then again on the same spot, the same thing happens. Somehow my party members were able to defeat the enemies and i managed the save in the middle of the room, even though the menus and the power wheel were stuttering too. All happened while playing offline.
After i loaded everything went fine. At this point i was expecting my bluray drive to die or something, but at the fight with the colossus all went normal, and i managed to play about one more hour after that.
So what do you guys think? Bug/glitch or is my PS3 dying on me?
I tried GT5 and Dead Space 2 today and they played fine with no issues.

I own a fat 80GB PS3, and have had very little problems with it for 3 years. Also I live in the U.S. Downloaded ME2 off the PSN in January and WHABAM glitchy as all hell. Mostly texture issues and things that are easily ignored for the sake of gameplay. Did however encounter a few game crashes requiring a hard reboot, so I wasn't pleased about that.
After the patch I had no problems up until two days ago. The game crashes every time either at the title screen (before I can select resume game) or within one minute of gameplay. I deleted all saves, cleared the game cache, and deleted the game itself. Re-downloaded and installed the game, and all was well for a single day. This morning I start up the game to encounter the same problem. Game is now unplayable. Totally unacceptable.

Hey, I don't know if its the patch thats causing this but sometimes when I load up a certain part of the game (You get like an animation of the Normandy) All the graphics go weird, everything turns to white and you can see all the geometry lines, its really hard to explain, but basically all the graphics are messed up. Its only happened a few times to me throughout my female shep playthrough and I just go to the main menu and load up my last save and its fixed. But it gets annoying having to do quit to the main menu everytime this happens and to redo everything all over again. If anyone else has had this problem please tell me. K, thanks

F!"ck, are you an idiot? I know about armour parts and I wasn't talking about them, if I would I will say armour parts, but not upgrades:pinched:. Sorry, but reading your comment not only nerves me but also offends because I played ME2 so many times that I KNOW what I'm talking about, :pinched:f"·k.MorseDenizen wrote...
Actually that isn't true viralGoD, some of the items u buy are armour parts that are immediately available in captains quarters, while others are in fact weapon armour or ship upgrades u need to research to use, u find most in missions but there are a fair amount need to purchase on various planets.
!!!! I say the last time, those upgrades you buying in shop you will have them without reseaching!!!!!
Sorry for being rude, I don't know what version of Mass Effect 2 do you have, but in my ps3 it works in that way and also on my PC and on my broken Xbox 360.
reason to respond in that way. a lot of the tech/armour/weapon upgrades
are available at various store in game not just for pick up during
missions that isd ALL i said yeah? you can BUY armour upgrades at shops
too, as you said they are only available dudring missions
I own both the PC and PS3 versions of the game and they work in much the same way, you spend credits for upgrades, cabin decorations and weapon upgrades at the stores, upgrades are in the searh terminal and require an amount of mineral to unlock and use, while armour parts and decoration are found in the Captain's quarters. Perhaps you should type more carefully and read your own comments.

I hope Bioware is able to do something at least about the sound issues, everything else can be coped with. Although I don't understand the concept of paying money for the product and then forcing yourself to look away from the problms.

I've deleted the patch and installed the Cerberus pack again, I'm going to check for certain it is the patch causing this issue.
