Topic asks it all. ONe of the missions in arrival is to survive the battle for "Object Rho." To wit:

The Ultimate Sacrifice
- Complete the Arrival DLCLast Stand
-Survive all five waves in the battle for Object RhoCovert Action
-Rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson without attracting hostile attention.

Object Rho is actually a codename for the Reaper's attempt to reverse-engineer an Easy-Bake oven to be able to wipe out all intelligent life in the galaxy, and at the same time, make tasty cupcakes.

Seriously, I think It's some sort of Reaper tech that will do..something. Not very specific, but I got nothing:whistle:

Huskifier 3000: It shoots LIGHTNING BOLTS! (see ME: Evolution)

That's my guess, anyway. Could be a moldy shoelace.

That "Reaper artifact" in ME: Evolution  was my guess but I've not read the comic, only summaries. I thought the Object was too big to move, so where is it?

Perhaps some Dark Energy-laden star that people have been hypothesizing will become a sort of Mass Relay for the Reapers to enter the Milky Way?

We take it out, they have to take the long ways home.

Something dealing with the 'other plans' Liara mentions in LotSB.

If "Rho" is something that leads to the defeat of the Reapers then it's not a DEM,  because they're damn well not going to have us defeat them in the DLC. All it could be at this point is part of the set up for their defeat.  The whole point of a DEM is that it comes out of nowhere at the very end.

Object Rho has to be something which can be fought over on foot. We will be involved in a "battle" for Object Rho which has five waves of enemies... Probably the Shanxi artifact considering it is so central to the current batch of comics.

By the way guys, Rho is this greek letter: Ρρ

Which means that Object Rho is a numbered scientific artifact.

And now go back to this thread!

Might be another mini Mass Relay, like the Conduit. Except one that's made by the Reapers.

In the Cerberus Network update, it talks about the Mass Relays being over 50,000 years old.

I doubt the dlc will have anything to do with the comics.

My proof is the books Bioware has not used any of the book characters in there games besides for Saren, Anderson, Aria and The illusive man there was the convo on Freedoms progress about how cerberus broke in but as far as I know that was the only referance to the books made in the games.

Also since revelation came out after me1 and retribution came after me2 my above post is rendered pretty much invalid it was more the books using the game characters then the other way around.

LOTSB and many convos with Liara reference Redemption.  Also Revelation was released before ME1

I just get the feeling that the DLC will take place in the Argos Rho cluster. The only evidence I have is the fact is that the "Object Rho" and Argos Rho have part of their name in common. I'm sure I'm wrong but boy will I laugh if I'm not.

I don't see any MODERATOR badge above your name so until true mod pop up here and lock this thread EVERYONE have right to post here.
So please step aside... Thank You :police:

EDIT:
And for the topic... i seriously hope that Bioware won't force upon us another mandatory death of one of the plot characters.
They already screwed enough wole story by made Shepard killable in ME 2 but i am srtarting to afraid that there is another idiot plot ball in play... and why i get that feling that this "ultimate sacryfice" thing might be connected to trailer events?

Can't agree, Mesina2. While almost no one pays any attention any more, that thread is on what is supposed to be a "No Spoilers" forum. While the massive breaking news that thread reveals is a massive spoiler, at least the information was published -- even though that publication was unintentional.

Speculation, however, is unambiguously spoiler content.

I don't think the moderators would dare lock the other thread. It's the biggest revelation by a regular forum member I've seen for any game, anywhere. However, the more speculation we post on the Mother of All "Arrival" threads, the more reason we provide to get it locked down.

=======

Now there's all the new should-have-been secret info discovered in the PC alternate appearance pack. See this link. That info is alread on the other thread, too.

The artifact is in Batarian space. The Normandy has to go on a stealth mission.

As mentioned, Lair follows on directly from the events of the Redemption comics and a lot of allusions to those events are made in the dialogue. They're also the only other time Feron has ever appeared.  Anderson will summarize Revelation for you in ME1 if you ask him.  You can buy Revelation and Ascension on the Citadel in ME2, which gives you summaries of both in Codex form.  One of the N7 missions involves protecting a quarian from the Idenna, the ship which was raided in Ascension, and which went off on an exploratory mission at the end.

It was the object between Object Pi and Object Sigma.
