Let's see if we can predict Flemeth's motivations.

Considering how well the loose ends are being tied up (they're not) I doubt anything is planned.

So all we have to do is conjure every possibilty aside from one, and then we'll have them.XBenotto18 wrote...
The devs are aware of our theories. I think they would have the plot twist different from our theories. Their probably reading the thread right now and jotting notes NOT to have flemeth as a old god.

I'd assume t e Blight would have stopped eventually anyway. if not in Denerim then at the borders to other countries where the Grey Wardens were waiting already. I don't know if I should think that our Grey Warden was some sort of chosen one as well or the blight was just not really as bad as the others before. Because it was the fastest, cleanest ending of a blight ever, and with only 3 grey wardens involved.Ziggeh wrote...
Aside from the old god child business, the end of humanity would probably make her day to day life (of dispatching young adventurers on grand quests) less interesting. Motivation enough, I feel. I know I'd get out of my chair to ensure that I could keep having meandering, yoda like conversations with people who wouldn't try to bite my arm off.AlexXIV wrote...
She sent the GW to stop the Blight for a reason.
So my guess would be that Flemeth's plan was to stop the Blight spreading to Kirkwall. If the Warden hadn't stopped it, the story of Hawke would have been different and he/she may have never become the Champion. The OGB seems pretty much optional. If it was that important then Flemeth would have failed just because the GW says no. So that was either to trick Morrigan so she doesn't learn Flemeth's real plan, or something ... well optional. Like if it worked, good, if not, also fine.

Well the devs surely read threads like this, but they certainly won't change their story due to it. We theorize any possible option anyway, so they would have to come up with something that stupid that nobody would ever guess. Or they just stick with their concept even if the one or other guessed it. After all guessing is not knowing.Ziggeh wrote...

If I was the writer I wouldnt want someone to have their theory right. After the game games out, the member would post I told ya so, I told ya so

Well they don't want people guessing their stories but they are experienced enough to not panick if someone does. After all millions buy their games and they want an interesting story and they won't ruin it because one guy on a forum that maybe thousand people read guessed it right.XBenotto18 wrote...

I'm assuming she's running a xanatos gambit of some sort. I don't believe we know all the forces in motion as yet, so saying to what end is a bit of a blind man/elephant debacle.AlexXIV wrote...

Gaider and his lackeys no doubt have some twisted and demented plots in
store for us. Let's try to figure out Flemeth's "plot twist." If
everyone throws out a random idea, eventually we should be able to guess
it right. I'll go first.
- Flemeth is a shameless Kreia ripoff, and wants the destruction of all magic in Thedas.
-
Flemeth is an Old God that realizes the inevitability of her death by
the Grey Wardens' hand once the Darkspawn flock to her. Her goal is to
prevent that from happening.
- Flemeth wants Unlimited Power™.
- Flemeth wants to destroy every living being on the planet.

As a backup, Flemeth sent Hawke on some secret mission that would secure her life. Perhaps she does this every few generations in case she dies to get revived.
