So, we went from Dragon Age: Origins, to Dragon Age: Awakening.

Then we get Dragon Age 2.

What happened to the colon?

Admittedly, I have a hard time thinking of words to use I guess. Dragon Age: Champion doesn't quite have the ring to it.

Because they realised that giving it a colon name would confuse people who weren't following the game closely into thinking it was another expansion pack or DLC for Origins.

Dragon age: Desolation.

Does it matter?

Mike Laidlaw said some time ago that they ditched the colon because they didn't want it to wind up getting ridiculous.  Oh, and they didn't want to have to tie Stanley Woo up and hide him in a closet because he kept calling it Dragon Age 2: Electric Boogaloo.

Dragon Age: Rise to Power, Dragon Age: Destiny, there would have been plenty of colonesque titles had they wanted to use them.

Since I'm studying the GI tract right now, I definitely came in here thinking this was about something different.

Dragon Age 2: Blahblah

Like how Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn

I don't think anyone was confused that it was an expansion. ;p

But really, my mind went in a totally different direction when I read the title. I'm glad I wasn't right.

Anatomy. The memories. Leaving cat parts behind in desk drawers for the next group of students was always a classic. Ah, to be young again.

Same here. Maybe we get swallowed by a dragon, and have to fight our way out?

This, basically.  Except I'm not studying anatomy. xD

But yeah...I think it's not only DA2, but DA: Rise to Power.

While I'm not studying the GI tract, I had the exact same impression.
