Hello, and thank-you in advance for helping me with what feels like a very newbie question. Firstly, let me say that the game is installed perfectly, with Bring Down the Sky & Pinnacle station correctly installed. My problem is that when I load my save games created on my old computer and beat the game, I do NOT receive a new game + option, and I cannot even create a new game from the main menu. My options are "resume", "load career", "new career", then options, achievements, exit, etc. The main issue is that I cannot create a new play-through. I've got a legit install that's authenticated, so it shouldn't be any glitch associated with copy protection.
Being unable to start a new game just because the option isn't there on the silly menu is somewhat annoying, and any advice would be appreciated. This career has a couple playthroughs already behind it, so I'd like to use it on my quest to beat Insanity, but I can't do that without creating a new game.
Can't make a new game

You need to also copy across the profile.masseffectprofile file as well as the save games.

I did, as well as the .backup version of it. When I go into the load career screen, I see both my current career and one other, so I'm guessing that my profile is there intact.

New Game+ shows up as an option ("Existing ID") after you choose to start a new game, if that helps.

It would, but as I said in the OP, I don't have the option to start a new game, and that is what I'm trying to figure out. I get an option to make a new career, but NOT a new game.

I'm pretty sure they're one and the same.

I can't verify right now (@work), but use New Career. Early on in the process you should get the option of "creating a new profile" (character) or using an existing one.
I forget the exact wording, but it'll be pretty obvious.
