Which sacrificed anything that resembles gameplay to be a storybook. I don't compare visual novels to games even if they attempt to fake gameplay by adding some Nintendo Wii functions

We were talking about choices, I gave you game where choices have impact on the story and the game and you talk about gameplay ... because? Since its completly irrelevant ....

I have to disagree. after DA and ME, bioware should know how to make a rpg appeal to the majority. they just need to make some tweaks on character cumtomization, weapon/armor/clothes, and design a funtional combat system similar to ME2. then most rpg fans will somehow accept it
If everything was that simple more RPG sequals would have big sales. The difference here is that ME and DA appealed from the start and already had the audience moving forward to sequals. When new games come out you need to have that buzz and anticipation and since only a minority liked the first game then that buzz isn't there for a sequal so they'll find it harder to give people reasons to buy it. Unless it was a complete overhaul of story and combat system to make it a more interesting game but then it would not be Jade Empire anymore. Sometimes you need to let a game rest and not resurect it for nostalgia's sake.
Same for all these people who want Baldur's Gate 3 and all that nonsense. Let good games rest and don't let sequals be made that you know you won't like. They'll never capture the things from the past that you loved because this is the now. Move on and encourage new ideas instead of trying to relive your past over and over by wishing for remakes.
lol hopefully if they make either it won't take as long as Duke Nukem Forever.Druss99 wrote...
Not fussed on Jade Empire but I'd fight a bear for KOTOR 3.

Isn't that the "choice" in all games that offer it? You need to still follow a narrative even if you offer choices so really it's just different ways of advancing the narrative.

I just hope that TOR doesn't kill off any chance of it ever happening. Although I've accepted just how slim the chances are.KenKenpachi wrote...

I would hope for a continuation of the Jade Empire series. Very unique.

It's not a game it's a visual novel.

Well since they already have sci fi and fantasy covered, it really is likely that if there's another new IP it'll likely be modern day.
That would actually probably be pretty awesome coming from Bioware.
Or post-apoclyptic. So many ideas.
Steampunk! Like Arcanum. Make it so, Bioware!
