Currently on a mage playthrough and during combat Hawke tends to do this weird movement with her arms/staff moving about. This animation will play as combat starts, when combat ends, or if I kill an enemy. It's completly random but it also doesn't allow me to move the character. Why? :pinched:

No, Hawke doesn't attack during this animation. She just stands there twirling her arms and staff around. Can't attack and can't move while this happens.

Yeah, I cam across this too. It's a random idle animation after you kill enemies or at times after you cast spells. Its sort of annoying lol.

That happens to me too. It's annoying when she does that at the beginning of combat or during the battle. Sometimes I can cancel it my moving Hawke herself. Otherwise, it was fun.

It only happens to me when combat starts it seems to me the animation of Hawke getting his/her staff ready. The length of the animation is a disadvantage as by the time Hawke has finished showing off there is a darkspawn a few feet away.

I was worried DA 2 would be more Action than RPG but playing though the demo I am relieved that the Action and RPG is well balanced so nether audience should be disapointed. I couldn't help but smile when a fireball killed a cluster of genlocks and can't wait for my copy to arrive.

Oh playing as the male Hawke I found his left eye to be slightly bigger than his right, or is that just me?

Hey guys,

We are looking into this issue, there is nothing we can do as far as the demo but we are evalutating it for a possible future fix. The animation you are referring to occurs when there is no valid target in range of your attacks and this occurs for all classes. The mage's just happens to last longer than the other classes.

Good to hear!

Not that big of a problem for me but a problem nonetheless.

I just realised that when I tried an archer. Should be better able to avoid it now! But a future fix is nice too. Image IPB

Simple fix.  Bring back the move into range feature from DA:O.  I miss being able to click A when I see an enemy out of range and my character moves into range and starts attacking.

It's kind of annoying as you don't know the range between yourself and the enemy so you'll either stand there as a ****** doing that animation or you'll attack. In Origins your character would run up to the enemy until they were in range.
