Thoughts!
- I played as a two handed rogue and had so much fun. I remember watching the online playthrough of Isabella's quest and thinking that she didn't seem to be dealing much damage, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had jumping around while slicing and dicing my foes. Throw a well placed miasmic flask here, backstab some guy over there... it was just really satisfying to watch the ogre gear up for an attack and then be able to swiftly jump out of the way of his attack. Great stuff, I'm more tempted to play that class for my first playthrough of the real game than I thought I would be.
- Other people said this, but the text is suuuper tiny. I'll either need to get used to squinting or look for a new TV, it was so bad that I couldn't read certain bits at all. Skill descriptions were still alright, but I have no idea what the text during the loading screens were.
- Speaking of the loading screens, there were a few bits where the game would hiccup in the middle of a cutscene to load the next bit. It was as bad later in the demo, but I especially noticed it in the beginning.
- Music is just lovely, and I'm also so in love with the graphics. Everyone looks great.
- It really did feel like I was playing Dragon Age, just a sleeker, better tuned version. I know I'm going to play this demo a billion times in the next two weeks, and March 8th can't come fast enough!
