he isn't a bad person for a templar, sure he was rather hostile towards bethany and my mage hawke at first but he was nice enough to give a good prayer for her after the orge attack.Huwmin race wrote...

I just finished all class playthroughs and I'm in love with the rogue. The combat is so fast paced and twitchy. It is heaven. Warrior and mage are a bit more traditional in terms of DAO style combat They have flashier animations but the actual gameplay feels very similar.
Not so for the rogue, the rogue feels like it was completely redesigned and I looooooove it.
Yeah I think I may actually be rolling a rogue instead of a warrior on my first time through now, I just played as one. Wow. Fun fun.
Was it just me or was it impossible not to die as a rogue unless you abused the "evade" skill? But yeah, Irogues so much.
Ummm, all you need to do is give Bethany Heal and you pretty much can't die in that demo with both potions and Heal.
Or just potions...and run around in circles for the CD (evade works to lower threat) if you take too much damage (though you shouldn't be if you have Aveline tanking) while Aveline tanks.

Yeah, I probably just suck.

combat is fine where it is, for me combat was harder with a rogue thank goodness for beth and healing potions. However, with a mage I blow through the darkspawn. I think this will be a good game, can't wait to play the full game.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the visual quality of the console version. I played through as a warrior and an Archer Rogue and I liked the improved combat, especially being an Archer. I didn't like having to hammer A the whole time though so I'm looking forward to the toggle for Auto-Attack.
Question: After playing through the demo's which are both linked to this Bioware Account, I noticed that Hayder's Razor was only unlock for the Xbox 360. I assume this is an oversight and is actually unlocked for all platforms? Or do I have to play through it on each platform? (Which wouldn't make sense since I played the PC version as well.)

LOL, people are now complaining the demo was too hard? Probably the same people who previously accused it of being dumbed down. ROFLMAO

I just finished playing as a dual-wield rogue. She got stuck on a rock throughout one part and I couldn't get her out until the ogre cutscene. Annoying.
Yep, some of the transitions from cutscene to combat or vice versa were a bit jerky and jarring. That should get a fix before release.

The game's already been sent off to manufacturing so the final release may have a patch following shortly afterwards to fix such issues.

"The demo on the console reminded me a lot to Jade Empire. The portraits to the bottom left with the mana/stamina look similar, the constant tapping of (A) and the radial menu are somewhat similar. The gameplay felt smooth and very cool looking, with the running and slashing. Combat was, personally, a little too fast for me. I wasn't sure what was happening some times, being unable to keep up (which led to some of my companions "dying" as I couldn't watch their health, pick a skill/ability to use and tap A constantly). This is more a personal problem for the console version though, as the PC has the "pause-and-command" style, which I will be using instead. Overall combat was fun to watch, but difficult to manage (for me any way).
Regarding dialogue, I was little confused by some of the symbols/icons when choosing your dialogue. For example, what does the purple diamond represent? And what's the difference between the olive and the wings? The paraphrasing was usually fine. I raised my eyebrow at certain things Hawke said, but I didn't mind too much. The voice acting was fine by me, and I liked the "sarcastic" comments the most. Regardless of what dialogue option and sex you initially choose, Hawke will sound like a badass, which was awesome. I was ecstatic watching Flemeth arrive in Dragon form, and the little story I saw I thoroughly enjoyed. Seeing and hearing Varric retell the story of Hawke was great and I felt it was quite a fresh and original way of storytelling.
I like the art. The loading screens were cool, and the music was well done. I enjoyed hearing the title screen and credits music, though the in-game music was less noticeable for me. The graphics are greatly improved, with mostly sharp textures and fluid animations (only things I didn't like were how the darkspawn looked like and some minor instances of low texture resolution, especially visible in the very first cutscene where Varric is dragged into the interrogation room). There were some minor glitches. For example, I chose to wield a sword and a shield, but whenever I was in-combat the sword would be held upside down. Occasionally some textures would glitch and turn white.
It was fun, and I'm eagerly waiting for Dragon Age 2. I can't say I enjoyed more than Dragon Age: Origins, but I have yet to play the full game so there are probably a few more surprises in store for me."

And this must be said, the cooldown for heal is just freakin' ridiculous. What is it, 40 seconds? Since the fighting is faster this time around, longer cooldowns don't help much! There were NO potion pickups before the battle with Hayder, so my warrior was essentially running around with low health until heal was useable again. Heal needs to have a shorter cooldown while costing more mana.
Well guys, two more weeks to go. I can hardly wait now.

I believe there'll be an option to turn auto-attack on for consoles, so it plays like Origins did on them.
