Maybe quit playing Videogames altogether?

Thanks for the qualified input, your eloquent way of putting things into perspective with clear arguments really got me over to your side.
Great, I recommend a career in politics, maybe run for president ?

Just got through it myself. I am really excited to see how this story unfolds. Very intriguing! Took a little to get used to the combat from the first game. More button mashing ( not really a bad thing, they incorporated it well.) Really fun fast paced.

On a side note. Does every purchase of the game get the Black Market content or only the preorders?

I'm sure some people like it fast, I can understand with this instant gratification world, but I have a feeling I might appreciate the slower pace in DA:O. Yes, the game looks nice, can't wait to use DX11 and I was having a mild flashback to Baldurs Gate 2 (which is always a plus for me).

I just feel like the demo isn't enough and was hardly worth waiting for now after playing. It's sort of like, and forgive me for saying so ladies, a 2 minute quickie (short and hardly gratifying)

Just finished as a warrior and a mage. Combat was much improved over the old boring system in DA:O where you'd sit and watch your character auto attack with the occasional ability being mixed in. Nice to actually have abilities that you can use more than once in a fight. Also, I'd rather fight waves of larger groups like the demo suggests we'll see in DA 2, rather than small groups of five or six in DA:O. Just makes combat a lot faster and engaging, plus it adds to the heroic factor of the party and your character!

I don't know what you guys are talking about with the graphic being downgraded, they look a lot better than they did before, particularly combat animations and effects (PC user). Overall it looks like Bioware is delivering a solid RPG. Combat is active and engaging and the redone ability trees are a hundredfold better than the old system. The voice acting was solid and the characters were enjoyable, hopefully the story will be something of legend! That being said, it’s a pity I've yet to see anything come close to comparing to THE LEGEND in RPG's, Baldur’s Gate II!

Oh my freaking god. That's all I have to say.

If the demo is any inclination, this game deserves RPG game of the year (maybe game of the year), and best sequel.

Well, except mass effect 3 comes out in november I think... damn.

Bioware, you're going to end up competing with yourself!

xD

edit: Side notes. Staff-swords. Awesome. Bow-And-Arrow MELEE. Awesome. Fast paced combat, great controls (both systems I played), inventory menu looks unchanged which is both good and bad (DA inventory was pretty good). Skill trees are more interesting, and there are a lot more choices. Excellent.

I've just finished playing the demo.

It was AWESOME. If I had ANY doubts about DA2, they have surely disappeared.

The combat was a little wierd in the first 5 min, but I get used to it.

Incredible...

Ive played thru fairly easily and quickly as all available characters...male and female....on pc.

First impressions. I dont care for the style of the menus. To me they belong more in Mass Effect than Dragon Age. I liked the more medieval, fantasy look of the first games menus/items better. I also dont like that I have to hit escape every time I want to level a character. To me as a pc gamer escape is to get out of a game...not to access normal game operations. And im also a bit weary about the time jumps in game...I hope the jump i saw in the demo isnt what actually happens in the final product. I hate to be one character...at a certain level with certain skills....then just appear someplace else with new characters new skills etc without bieng able to choose them or choose to get the new character like you could the first. Lastly im worried that they cared more about upgrading the graphics and the main character voice over and will end up limiting choices/story to keep space low...again i hope im wrong here...but they did do it to Mass Effect....

Ok thats the bad....

The good...

I like the art style...though the dwarf character to me just looks thuggish rather than dwarven...but thats nit picking. I loved what they did to Flemeth though. In the first game you could have put anything above her head and it would have fit her..."Refugee"..."Old hag"..."Beggar"...whatever...she just looked plain and forgetful....if it wasnt for her attitude and vocal work. In the demo she looks like a powerfull witch and I liked how they kept the whole "wilds" look with the feathers and all.

I liked the faster pace though im worried itll play out more like an action game then a fantasy role playing game...which seems to be biowares trend lately. I also liked how they mixed in the people and events of the first game...mentioning that the last wardens were already gone....hopefully they keep that up throughout the game and even allow you to import your old DA1 save to influence atleast minor changes in dialogue.

Overall im hopefull for Dragon age 2....I have it paid in full and awaiting release....but im thinking it'll be reminiscent of Mass Effect 2....more mainstream....better graphics...less freedom...less choices....

Crosses fingers...lol
