I don't know about others but I barely read the text when the dialouge comes up and trying to read the descriptons for the different talent descriptions.
Is this how small the text will be in the full game?

Apart from that the demo is pretty good.

This.

If it's standard, that's to be expected. It's an HD game and it's not really designed to be played in SD.

Hmm...not good news if the OP is using an HDTV. I am holding out hope for scalable fonts on the PC version...

An option to change the text size would great on the 360 version
Small Medium Large etc
Now might be a good time to invest in a HDTV me thinks
dabs.com here I come!

Thats your problem.

If you cant afford an HDTV, start saving cause all xbox/ps3 games are in HD.

Also played on an SDTV. Didn't have problems reading in Origins but in DA2 I do, as I do in ME2. But I'm not surprised or anything about this. Just have to save up to and HDTV I guess :)

If Bioware can't make their UI work for both types of televisions (like every other developer does), they should start putting system requirements on PS3/360 boxes like they do for PC games.

I live in eastern ontario canada, it's 8:20am here. What time will the demo be released for PC here? I'm fairly certain it hadn't been released for PC yet...and where do I find the link to download it?

I'm playing on an HDTV and i found the text to be too small.

It has been the case, even with Mass Effect.I suppose that's only console related.

Aside from 2006/2007 360/ps3 games, no games are optimized for SDTV. You can't even buy a SDTV anymore when I am from. Why optimize for something that is obsolete?

ps you can also buy a  32 inch cheap asian brand HDTV for like 200$

That's your problem. It's an HD game, it's going to be like that unless you get an HD TV.

I think the same thing happened with Mass Effect 2 for folks who had SDTV's.

Optimized? What does that even mean? I just want to play the damn games without getting a headache every time I have to read something. Why does this only happen with Bioware games?

PS - I don't have $200 lying around.

I don't know if they ever released a patch for Dead rising 1 but try playing that on SDTV. that text was almost impossible to read that's when i knew it was time to upgrade my TV it's not just bioware games.

Every other developer doesn't make their UI work for both definitions, if you play Xbox 360 or PS3 then the system is not designed for SDTV. It has nothing to do with game developers. I play on SDTV as well, I deal with the tiny text in every game I play from numerous different game developers. It does not bother me that much though.

If you cannot deal with it then hold off on buying 3 games and get a cheap HDTV.

It actually happens with many console games post-2006. In fact, most if not all Capcom games are made for HDTVs. This is not a new issue.

If you change the display for widescreen it makes things better.

That is my biggest problem on playing games like this on consoles. So much easier reading on a PC monitor.

I don't mean to sound rude, and I am sorry if I do but if you don't have an HDTV or can't afford one then you will have to get used to seeing small text/other issues in HD games. Why would they make a game for a SDTV when they are  basically already phased out?

This. Some people don't care to waste what little disposable income they have keeping up with the rampant progress of technology. My old tv works fine, why should i have to buy a new one to read text on a videogame. Making it a few points bigger and making sure there is good contrast between text and background would solve the problem, no?
