My Specs:
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (1 gb) - Drivers up to date
6gb DDR3 ram
Playing the game on 1920x1080, 16:9
Graphics Detail on High
Anti-Aliasing 8x
Renderer DX11
Seems like I get reasonable FPS with some slow down. Don't believe had a problem with any game till now with high settings. DA:O runs much smoother and looks better (especially magic effects) with everything on max. I'm guessing this will be sorted by launch.
Any problems?

I have to say my system I had everything maxed out. Graphics Detail: Very High. AA 8x. Rendered DirectX 11 (if available) or something to that effect. V-sync on. I had 60 fps the whole time with no crashes. Running Core i5-2500k OCed to 4.4 GHz, AMD 6870 CF regular clocks with 11.1 drivers. I have not beat the demo yet though, I got to the part right before the ogre and everything was good. It seems to me most of the issues seem to be with Nvidia GPUs. BioWare did say they worked with AMD for this game. Has anyone had issues running AMD 6850, 6870, 6950, or 6970 GPUs??

The game mostly runs smooth for me but every time I used the backstab skill on on my rogue my screen went all crazy on me (spinning, jerking back and forth) and wouldn't stop until I managed to click on either the ground or something else. Seems odd because all of the flipping around and bum rushing enemies in mid air rendered just fine.

I've downloaded the demo...mostly. It just finished and is verifying, how long does the 'verifying' part last?

I first had problems using DX 11, encountered very very VERY low FPS. Now I switched to DX 9 and it's running fine, although of course the graphics are not as beautiful as they were before. I really hope this will be fixed in the final release! (I have an nVidia GPU and a Intel CPU)
What's bugging me much more is the problems with the in-game-menus. Have you ever tried setting the tactics for your characters? It seems that if you open up a menu once, choose from the items (which of course closes the menu) and afterwards try to open up another menu (e.g. for another tactics slot) the old menu still seems to be lying invisibly OVER the new menu. So I could choose from the items of menu #1 although I had already opened menu #2 for the next tactics slot.
This is an odd behaviour and looks like a bad GUI bug - and it's not making the tactics screen fun to configure. Actually I can always set one tactics slot, then leave the menu, get back in and set another slot. :-/

Furthermore I am now encountering small lags between the parts which all cutscenes are made of. It is as if something is out of sync and the game is loading the next scene way too late. So between each "cut" in a scene I have to wait for one or two seconds. That's really annoying!

I can't get past the character creation section. It crashes every time I reach this point with my female rogue. I'm using an ATI 5700 1gb,

Same as lystramon and zephrys101. I did manage to get past the character creation part after my second try. But, it was so boring. DA2 was going to be one of my favorite games. This demo has put me off. I may leave this game alone now.

It is so ugly too. It looks almost the same as origins. Definitely the ugliest DX11 game out. There is like no tessellation. I still see a very low polygon count on the terrain and armor and characters.

Irritating issue I am encoutering right now...
Trying to navigate the Tactics screen is a nightmare. You start to click on options and navigate through the menu, but as soon as you click on action you may...may...get the action you want without the first colum changing to something else.
God forbid you make a mistake...
Makes Tactics useless for the demo and leaves a bad taste in your mouth if you are evauating before buying.

Me and a few others are having the black face bug. I'd really like to hear from a mod about this one.

The Loading stuff is a bug .
A thread about it here
A workaround is to disable v-sync
