Bioware created an excellent, really memorable and almost perfect game with DAO.I admit it had a little dated graphics and also some minor issues with the combat system, but the overall experience was really satisfying and full, overly immersive to the games world.Really close to perfect for what the game stanted for.

AND THEN CAME DA2 DEMO.

Bioware instead of putting that extra effort to polish the game and make it an everlasting gem to reach rpg gaming perfection , took an 180 degrees turn and flipped the middle finger to all those pc gamers, rpg funs that supported it all those years and addored DAO.
i mean are those the same guys that created DAO?
Really can somebody answer me?
Is there anybody left in their team that plays or likes rpgs anymore?

I'm very dissapointed with how thinks seem to go in DA2 even though this is just the demo.
I mean the graphics(not art style) are a little better and the dialog wheel doesn't bother me but all the other elements show us the"awesomness-mindlessness" direction the game took.
Whats with the stripping down, oversimplification of the character development? No skills, cut down choices in weapons use, cutdown specializations, oversimplifing use of attributes..Everything seem to get narrower and more streamlined.
Stupid or under 12 years old friendly i pressume.
Whats with the epileptic speed in combat? The distracting flashes and explosions that happen here and there? The stupid ninja unreallistic moves of the characters? The terrible non strategic camera angles?

I could go on for hours but my point is that the whole endeavor screams "We don't really care to make a good game.We really care to make even more money"
How?
By changing target group, game genre and focus from pcs to platforms.

BRING BACK MY DRAGON AGE BIOWARE.

I liked the demo I'll state that first. I was a bit jarred and up set that I needed to keep tapping A to attack but after being told their is an auto attack option that is no longer an issue. I was a bit upset while playing the rogue and having a difficult time getting off back attacks since I kept jumping targets but I didn't know I could lock on a target by pressing in the joy stick so that should fix that issue as well. I will say I was thrilled with the leveling system. It seems that they separated the stats from the talents portion so hopefully I won't have to waste talent point on a skill I don't want, like I did in DA:O (console only issue). My major gripe was that while playing a rogue I felt way under powered (during the beginning section where it is just you and your sister), I am just hoping that was because it was a pre-created character. I know in DA:O my dual wielding rogue way out dpsed my 2handed warrior, and while playing the demo it was quite the opposite.

about the big breasts...

the most downloaded graphic/texture mods are the "nude patch"

for Oblivion, on tesnexus, there are 3 nude patch over the LOD landscape of shaja

1,272,425 downloads for the first boobs

803,534 downloads for the second

642,329 downloads for the third

and just 463,502 downloads for a texture pack with textures with resolution 2048x2048

or just 261,071 downloads for a texture pack with this:

http://www.tesnexus....-1216447689.jpg

so... it's sad... but real women, or porn movies with real women are not enough... people WANT ****** in games

Never in my life have I seen so many people speak negatively about large breasts.

Also, DA:O had Morrigan's clevage for 50 hours or so, and people think it's a sudden change?!

Just finished playing the demo. Sorry if I re-state any criticisms already talked about on this thread. The graphics have been slightly improved, not as much as bioware hyped but it's still an improvement and doesn't look like last gen graphics on the console. The combat is much more intense which I controversially think is a good thing. Also glad to see the dialogue and soundtrack is still topnotch

As for more negative feedback, I'm a little bit worried about the lack of challenge in the game, I know it's locked on normal but it still felt too easy even for that difficulty setting. I mean really, aside from the bosses it was basically a cakewalk, never even had to pause the game to give commands to my team. Aside from that the only other thing that annoyed me was the lack of an auto attack setting on the console, but I heard that's going to be added to the retail version so not much to dwell on for that.

Overall I enjoyed it, I just hope the game's more challenging later on.

I thought the demo was disappointing although i'll still get the game, as i've learned demos can be very misleading.

My biggest disappointment though is how streamlined and tailored it is to younger folks. DAO was, for the most part for an older audience which was nice. The flashy combat antics the characters do looks cool, but i thought it was just stupid that instead of harder to beat enemies there are just alot more of them. Now oh so surprisingly comparison to mass effect. The main setting for the demo, which im guessing most of the game wont look like, but it looks like your on eden prime more than ferelden. Will probably enjoy the game for the most part, but not as much as i enjoyed DAO.

I could be wrong, but in A2 so far I saw only Isabela with an enourmous rack. Flemeth, Aveline and Bethany (the NORMAL version) haven't a large rack,

What normal version of Bethany? Did I missed something?

Anyway, in Origins a lot of women have a large breast. How do you feel about that?

Large but normal size, not some hentai. I dont say that all women needs to have small breasts, its not like that in reality. But Isabela and Bethany are just too ridiculous for game that is supposed to be mature as I said.

Anyway, its my opinion and this is just small thing(no pun intended). New interface is definitely erm..bigger issue for me. But I made my post about that few pages back.

It isn't the breasts, it is apparently that the gravitational force exerted in Kirkwall is much lesser than in DAO.  Clearly something to do with a crack in the veil when the archdemon was slain, changing gravity and perhaps even physics itself, allowing enormous and free moving body parts to rise much higher skyward than is humanly normal, drawing our eyes hypnotically to these swelling organs.

I am certainly hoping there are no men in kilts in Kirkwall.  Things could get sassy.

First let me say the demo was fun. Fast and furious, and actually fits that phrase.

Not really sure on the graphics. The scenery is better but the characters are more cartoonish, I already miss the great facial expressions. The animations are over the top, but also rather cool so {shrug} just another style. Perhaps it is just for the demo, but a level 1 anything with ninja-like reflexes makes me wonder about leveling.

View: I prefer being able to be 'closer' to the other characters, makes me feel as if I'm there rather than just observing. Perhaps it's just a setting I missed. Also, while generally farther away, you can't pull back as far as before which is awkward for placing AoE hits.

The relationships and dialog system isn't clear if you just jump into play. Resulting attitudes in the conversation were often a less than happy surprise. I'm not sure why my own brother desn't seem to like me, or does rival mean something else? He is my brother, right?

... a married Templar?

Totally unimportant: the opening game graphic (white screen - red dragon) ... my immediate thought was "that was a messy birth".

I think you may have hit the nail on the head. Bioware is a big company and there may be many development groups in the company. Seems like more experienced and polished group is responsible for establishing new franchise (DAO) and then the other less talented groups take over further DLCs and more releases. Proof - they did not realease any DLC that had same polish like the origins game (Shale was released along with original game). Just quick money grab type of work afterwards.

DA2 was probably developed by the console group who knows what console audience likes but don't have talent to enhance original game. It takes lot of talent to improve upon a game that is already a classic, with all kinds of free mods available. I hear same story for Mass effect franchise.

What that means is PC users will have to wait for another PC classic to appear from Bioware. Until then try out new mods for origins game, they really enhanced my gameplay experience second time around.

Indeed. Though given how many buxom ladies/gravitational changes to lady bits there are in the game, I think a few men in kilts would only be fair  :innocent:

This is complete nonsense. Watching the credits would show you that many of the same staff worked on both games.

Obviously, you haven't the faintest clue on how Bioware is run.

I am totally dissapointed. DA:О had so much potential, it was like first Baldurs gate - great, but not ideal. Dragon age 2 should have been a legendary game. I can't understand how could you screw this up, it's totally insane. In demo i saw anime hack and slash violence and epic pirate girl boobs - marvelous work bioware. Call to arms! I recruit players all over the world for 1 million torrent downloads of Dragon age 2! Maybe after that bioware will start listen to its fans.

Oh it will be more than a million ... and they would not care one bit ... vast majority of the profits will come from consoles, so the honorable thing was to make DA2 console-only game...it was made that way anyway.

I feel like Stan Marsh watching Indiana Jones getting raped by George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.

So how can they miss something so basic as overhead tactical camera? They knew PC users mostly use that view...
