Obviously, you haven't the faintest clue on how Bioware is run.

It's consistently clear from this thread that console players and those that don't care about combat having any tactical elements whatsoever will probably love DA2 while the rest of us will hate it. Bioware made DA:O as a PC game first, ported to the consoles. The combat, art design and decreased graphic fidelity show that DA2 is a console game first, ported to the PC. I don't know of any successful game that followed this approach, and many that failed because of it.
I'll be saving my money for Skyrim, among other things.
I hate how people can make assumtions like this about console gamers. I'm sorry that if I have the option to play a 60+ hr game on either my couch with a large tv or sit at my desk I choose my couch. I truely enjoyed DAO and the only complaint I had about the combat was that it was to easy. I beat the game on nightmare my first play through, I did need to drop it down to hard for a bit of the rogue origin though.
I also find it funny that you criticize the graphics, yet you state you're saving your money for Skyrim. I save my money by not buying anything by Bethesda till they learn how to animate.

Context? But didn't you READ? They want MONEY!

This is complete nonsense. Watching the credits would show you that many of the same staff worked on both games.
So how can they miss something so basic as overhead tactical camera? They knew PC users mostly use that view...

That can't be right. REAL game developers want to live under a viaduct drinking meths and basking in the glory of the undying love of their fans as they themselves starve to death. They care not for this thing called profit. This ... is what you want, right Bio? Right?
Edit: I apologise for my snark.

They said many times that it didn't work with the art direction they were going for in DA2.

Obviously I don't work for Bioware. I am just look at quality of their products as a customer. Look at the low scores all the DLCs got at review sites. Not even awakening got close to score of original game.

I have the impression that all the positive reviews have deserted this topic. No doubt that people happy with the demo, keep quiet satisfied and eagerly await their game and moved on to something else lol.
A completely turn-based combat system is what I wanted. Ideally one with per-character initiative (Just a personal preference). I didn't expect it, but that is what I would have wished for. In a more generic sense, I want a system that requires as little of my own reactions to play a part in the combat as possible and have the character's reactions be the deciding factor. This is one of the reasons I don't like the apparent speed up of combat in the demo - it increases the dependency on my reactions instead of being based on the characters abilities.Sylvianus wrote...

Rather than speaking of bioware and if you concentrate on what you don't like in Da2 and what you'd prefer. For the combat system ? What do you wish you had for example? You wanted the same as in dao and awakening ?

It was stable and made a decent profit, but EA went "hrm, four years of dev time and only this much?" Lets cut the dev time to less than 2 and try to sell 10 million copies, cause we're jackasses.

I prefer that you respond to that. :'(Yeah of course, keep making up imaginative situations.
For now I read only complaints sterile, and findings on what engineering actually bioware. It's just stupid to waste the attention that you have in this topic.Rather than speaking of bioware and if you concentrate on what you don't like in Da2 and what you'd prefer. For the combat system ? What do you wish you had for example? You wanted the same as in dao and awakening ? Seriously ?
How not to appear to give the same thing, especially in that
awakening, it was clearly felt that it was starting to tire level
innovation and creativity.

What normal version of Bethany? Did I missed something?hhh89 wrote...
I could be wrong, but in A2 so far I saw only Isabela with an enourmous rack. Flemeth, Aveline and Bethany (the NORMAL version) haven't a large rack,Large but normal size, not some hentai. I dont say that all women needs to have small breasts, its not like that in reality. But Isabela and Bethany are just too ridiculous for game that is supposed to be mature as I said.Anyway, in Origins a lot of women have a large breast. How do you feel about that?
Anyway, its my opinion and this is just small thing(no pun intended). New interface is definitely erm..bigger issue for me. But I made my post about that few pages back.
