Where was DA1 then? Oh, right...you make no sense and make my head hurt.

Name me ONE game that actually had the number 1 in the title and I'll abandon the point. Otherwise it's simple semantics debateing it. Because Final Fantasy uses numbers and none of them are consistent except those that use numbers AFTER the numerals e.g. FFX-2.

–noun, plural -cies.
1. a degree of density, firmness, viscosity, etc.: The liquid has the consistency of cream.
2. steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc.: There is consistency in his pattern of behavior.
3. agreement, harmony, or compatibility, especially correspondence or uniformity among the parts of a complex thing: consistency of colors throughout the house.
4. the condition of cohering or holding together and retaining form; solidity or firmness.

...Sounds like the correct term to me.

As for trying to get BW to change this again for DA3, there isn't much hope for it. Due to the 'flashyness' of this version it will likely sell more, and BW would say "Gee, DA2 sold more copies than DAO, we're on the right track!", regardless of how many of DAO's existing fanbase actually liked DA2.

It is more casual, and that appeals more to casual gamers. Said gamers however will likely only spend a few days on DA2 before moving on to another game, caring less about plot and more about defeating innumerable hordes of enemies whenever they feel like it, and drop it again at the first part they feel is boring. 60% of gamers never finished Assassin's Creed, and that number will only go up according to current trends, But if you look at nothing but sales...

Now you're getting to the core of it...BW, believe it or not, is a company based on greed just like any other company.  They arent special, they arent exempt from the corruption of corporations.  And per betum (proper usuage I hope) what you posted is precisely why they will continue in the franchise's current direction.  Again, for those, like myself, who actually like this fresh approach, wont mind so much.  But to the so called "hardcore" fans, it's a jagged pill of truth they are having alot of trouble swallowing.

Hi.

I'd like to ask a question:)

When Carver or Bethany dies, there is an option "at least father won't be alone" or something like that. Some people think that it is a sarcastic remark, but I think that that's a rather common sympathy phrase in English and intended as a condolence for mother. Am I right?

Thanks.

As for the glitches, the level of graphics in this game shouldn't strain the PS3. ME2 proves that.

That's strange because it didnt strain my PS3 in the slightest...Hmmm.  Only issues I had were one or two "audio" issues and even then I wouldnt account them to putting "strain" on my console.  More akin to something that is hopefully polished up better in the full game.

It didn't strain mine either.  Framerate was rock solid and controls were responsive.  What I did get (don't know the technical term) were stark white lines intermittently flashing on the screen.  I haven't seen this in any other game from Bioware or anyone else.  Maybe they'll still fix that.

It will also be interesting to see the DLC sales, as I suspect as you said that once they beat the game a lot of people may uninstall DA2 after they've played it a couple times.

Seems different things are happening for different folks.  Guess I should count myself "lucky" as my issues were so "minor" lol

@vania - I believe you're correct.  Not 100% sure but I can say with about 90% certainty.  Just alot of folks take it out of context.

I'm playing on pc with everything maxed out, and the one thing I noticed is that when rotating camera using A and D keys, the movement is very jerky every 0.5 sec....but when using the mouse, i could spin the camera 100 times faster with no fps drop what so ever...

p.s. did anyone notice how awesome the lighting and shadows are when using basic attack with mage staff? :D

I was fooling around with console commands and broke the game, so that the last enemy in the last scene in the chantry just wouldn't die, even if he has 0hp...and your folks just kept attacking...that gave me an opportunity to look at all the animations and effects, and I really liked lights and shadows cast on the walls and floor by mage basic attack : )

Being a PS3 user myself...I agree...also the only technical issue I had period was the lack of dialogue from Wesley's mouth when I spoke to him out of the "conversation mode" if you will.

Im pretty sure you're right.  It meant more as a consolement than anything.  Just some folks take it out of context and automatically assume it's "snarky" or whatnot.  I blame the public school system

I blame the ignorance of knowledge regarding DA2's dialogue wheel. Just because something is located in a certin spot of the wheel does not mean it will always be the tone thats normally there.

I have one question... while fighting you can have all those moves but the enemies (except the ogre) only seem to either shoot or just slash... is this just for the demo? Since it doesn’t seem like a fair fight if our characters go all super powerful and the others just attack.

I seem to remember a time a few years back when my wife and I were having an arguement and I said something similar to that "Your mouth is moving, but Im not hearing anything coming out other than bs"  The pre-emptive kick to my nads at that point was well deserved lol.  Totally OffTopic but just thought Id stick that in there Posted Image

@kyda - no, that's basically going to be the final product.

I work in a company, trust me when i say this is not new to me, hence why i brought that up in one of my own posts. As i said earlier, not much else to do but wait and hope for the best while picking out the occasional gem amongst the coal.

On a sidenote, i tried looking it up but i an't find anything under 'per betum' or 'betus'... Are you sure you got the spelling right? (per batum meant?)

Well that's the mother's fault for taking the sentiment out of context now isnt it? Posted Image

only played demo half way through, did not like it at all, hopefully the game will be better, or I will have to move on, really loved DAO. I guess I will go back to playing it or Mass Effect.

Well, by "google" I mean im "Binging" it would be more appropriate lol.  Bing seems to work better for me alot of times.

As far as links go, Im mainly getting snippets from it being used in sentences.
