My Nvidia 8800GT 512MB can also use the directX 11 because in the description it says that you need to have at least a directX 10 enabled video card and win7.
I feel like the demo in not optimized at all. The final game should not some many loading problems.

I'm going to say this again - this is NOT the thread to discuss other RPGs. It is for feedback about the demo, not discussing what is an RPG or what other games are 'truer' RPGs.
ok...this is my feedback....
The only reason why i don't cancel my SE preorder is why i will sell it on ebay to a fanboy of yours for a better price

That being said.
Opening cut scenes....lip synch was horrendous....but it went ok...so maybe a little lag on my system at first....but it cleared up...so no problem there.
Graphics. Yeah lets go for the big talking point shall we? Self confessed hater. Now, I do think the 'character' graphics are far superior, but certainly out in the 'wilds', oh dear. What have Bioware done? While they 'look' ok, where is the detail? Terrible imo, but overall, now seen them for myself up close, I can live them. Avelines armour looks as painted on in places as some armours did in DA:O, and again, sorry, not acceptable in this day and age (even for an RPG where gfx are not top priority), my eyes were drawn to the poor drawing quality time and time again.
Animations (only played as a Mage so far), got to say even though they have been consolised (and I have been very vocal about that too), I have to say I quite liked them. Still a hater of the swinging weapon 'swoosh effect' which is so prevelant in JRPG's and console games, but it becomes less noticable the more you play, so again, can live with that I guess.
Cutscenes are outstanding, though my eyes kept being drawn to the very barren landscape...Kirkwall was much better....
Isabela...well...what is there to say. Will freely admit there was only one place I was looking lol....but enough of that. Then the illusion was shattered when she turns side on and she has two weapons hanging in mid-air behind her back. Very sloppy Bioware, very very sloppy Bioware....thank god they were not all like that.
Stoyline, seems interesting so far...though we know very little really.
Flemeth. Hmmm....difficult one this. While I think she looks great, I hope in the game there is so referance alluded too that she can also change her 'human' appearance too.....too much change from DA:O imo, but I did like her.
So, overall, I was dead against many of the new directions DA2 was and has gone in. I am still very disappointed with some of these, but overall the demo has peaked my interest sufficiently to now order a copy of the game.
So I guess, job done Bioware.

This will be the most perfect and well executed game in the history of the world. Aliens yet to be discovered will never match up. If you disagree, you're not only wrong, but also a troll.
But seriously, people saying they think the VA sucks... I don't agree. To say that the male Hawke sucked would be a bit harsh, but I didn't like it much. The female Hawke, however, was fantastic.

Dragon Age 2 has me super excited because the gameplay is now fun and beautiful to watch and now I have that to enjoy while making my way through the story.
Great changes, I appreciate them and I am glad to see a developer I have stuck with since Baldur's Gate is smart enough to shy away from the outdated RPG elements that some fans are willing to burn your studio dow over.

I want to move the camera with the mouse without pressing down any button, like in Origins. Please bring it back!
Dude, holding down the right mouse button to rotate the camera is the best thing since sliced bread. But I guess you haven't played MMOs like Guild Wars... As I said... moving the camera like that should be a STANDARD for every RPG!

I played as a rogue and when my femhawke tried to hit a hurlock that was running away from her
she made those flips to cross the distance over and over again... it looked kinda... well awkward

I've only played the demo on XBOX360 thus far, but my biggest gripe about the gameplay is the need to constantly mash the "A" button to make your character attack. I much preferred the old method of being able to set my character to attack, and then being able to set up tactics. I like the fact that the tactics, and the ability wheel are still present, but the gameplay still feels a little too hack and slash for me.
Really? I hated that in DA:O, and much prefer the new system! xD
I always felt like I had nothing to do between attacking and waiting for skills to cool down, and I constantly found myself mashing the 'A' button (even though it did balls all in Origins) simply because it made me FEEL as though the combat was going by faster, rather than dragging.
Different strokes, I guess! XD

I loved it, I've played it 4 times now. I'm still getting use to the A button spamming for standard attacks but it doesn't feel wrong. I was hell bent on playing a mage from day one but now I'm having trouble deciding once again. Rouges rock!
Pffft.

I would very much rather have push-to-attack on console as well. Having a controller in my hand makes me feel a lot more... there? And I want that connection between my hitting a button and something happening. Auto-attack on console would feel wonky to me, like I'm not really there. On the PC, conversely, with the mouse and everything, auto-attack is way better. Just playing the demo, I've already found myself constantly switching between characters to give commands. I'd feel weird doing that with a controller.

Besides that I liked the demo. Battles were extremely easy with the female mage until I got to the troll. He kicked my ass since I didn't have Bethany to heal me but I beat him on the third try. Graphics looked great. I put the brightness at the highest and everyone looked sharper than they did in Origins. The blood patterns were done pretty nicely too
My favorite part was Isabela. I can't wait to explore her character in the full game... if you know what I mean.
