Bioware please, reassure us. The final French version of the game is not that of the demo ? ? The translators had to repeat their work hastily for this demo is not it ? The voices are offset, not immersive at all, Everyone is reluctant, it broke the mood.

There are plenty of things in inconsistent responses. The voices are disgusting, and Bethany, Hawk and Carver, talk as if they were strangers, like lords. It is far from the familiarity between siblings.

This is probably a stupid question and been answered already BUT...the rushed story after we meet Flemeth won't be as...rushed in the final game right? We get to Kirkwall and then Varric pops up and for some reason joins you and then you just bump into Isabella and she decides to tag along. We're missing an entire sequence, right?

Also...in the final game we'll be importing our Wardens from DAO, like ME2?

don't like that the main character speaks, and you can't choose champion's race

can definitely see why Hawke Mage is the one in all the preview trailers. The easiest time I had in the demo was with the mage. The first scene where you have high end spells I downed the ogre in about 13 seconds and the rogue/warrior took much longer. Also didn't have trouble with being attacked head on as you could mind blast enemies back or just kite them around to your warrior. The new attack system where you have to keep pressing 'a' is a much nicer feel, and the ME2 dialogue style and pause menu is much cleaner. Definitely agree about the text size but overall great demo and this game is going to be pretty amazing.

Does anyone else think the demo should have been released pre xmas so they could have addressed some issues?

Very very disapointed in the demo,

far far far too dumbed down, almost like playing a fantasy mass effect, not as good as dragon age one but then again sequels almost never are as good or better than the orignal

No, seriously, I want to know why the text is so tiny. Is it to discourage players from taking the time to read anything and just mash buttons to get to the next cutscene?

Played a bit more on PC.

Really missing the oportunity to see enemy health bars when holding down TAB. Why was it changed? :(

Female Hawkes out of combat jog/run animation is a bit....exaggerated? Just looks funny.

played the game and hm.....

i rly like the combat and will probably play most of the game like that but at some points i wish i could have used more tactic (especially with ogre >.> )

i couldn't scroll out like in da1 and i'm wondering if this is just in demo or will it be like that most of the time?

For the most part I enjoyed my XBox360 demo, but one thing bothered me about the combat is that my male warrior seemed to be doing vicious looking battle moves that I never really see connect to anything, but the Darkspawn go out like red, gooey fireworks. I realize that sacrifices may need to be made to keep the speed of the game up as Bioware tries to cram more stuff into an aging video game system, so if that's my only gripe, I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the game.

Got to admit that I loved the "new" graphics, or so to say. The customization of how it looks is just great I think.
All the classes were great imo, but personally I will start of with a mage. I think that Bioware really have laid some work into the whole spell systematization when casting spells, due to how amazing it looks, from my perspective.

One minor issue I found was that in the dialogue it was like " Hi I am Isabella... let me join you" Somehow I am hoping that it ain't going to be like so, because it kind a ruins the whole point of choosing your companions, I really hope that it isn't implemented like that in the full-game version.

But to judge from the demo I am definitely going to be playing the game, more than ones. Comprehended as, I am going to make a playthrough with all the classes.

I think that was it so far... If not I will be posting an additional post ;)

Played both on 360 and PC.
6~ playthroughs on 360.
1 on PC.

I've encountered quite a few graphical bugs and sound problems which I really do hope don't carry over to the main game, for example; talking to a companion and then talking to another will have no audio from the second companion but their lips move and you can see the subtitles above their head.

The exaggerated portion was loads more fun on the 360 as a whole, rampaging through everything was a lot more fun to me personally. Though once we enter real time, I found the PC version provided a lot more in terms of fun. Though it did leave me a bit confused as I found the game to be a lot easier on PC even when I was doing nothing different which was rather... odd, my companions were able to kill everything without dying on the PC while on the console I'd often have to keep close tabs on every one of them.

I've tried to play around with companions on the PC playthrough to get a different feel, I'm really interested in how the game feels different for both but remains true to both platforms. I didn't have much fun with 2h warriors on the console, though a 2h warrior on the PC played a lot better. Opposite (personally) for sword and shield on the console.

As a whole, the demo was loads of fun and the textures on the console compare to my PC which is some good news. I'm sure DX11 would change that but I don't expect it by too much. Though I've seen a few bits of clipping on the console which I don't believe I saw on the PC, like Flemeth's head in which you can see the neck stick out of the armor when she turned her head.

Voicework wise, both FemHawke and ManHawke did amazing jobs and I loved every single line except for one which struck me as a little blunt (The line where they dead sibling will keep father company). Personally loved the moment where Flemeth laughs and says she likes you.

I'd write a few more things but I'm in a rush, so... can't wait for March 8th. :P

Why the hell did you had to add bloody icons to the conversation options?

"OOOh ... nice teal wings, this must be the GOODGUY option! Bah, something red, this is for EVILGUYS, right?"

Why did you dumb the game down so much? For the console guys? Same with the Final Fantasy-esque interface. Who are you and where is the real BioWare? Seriously, is the SOE impersonating BioWare by any chance?

Did you actually select any of the 'red' options?  I did, and they're not evil.  They're aggressive/defensive/brutally honest.

For example, if you play a rogue or warrior after saving Wesley and Aveline?  That 'red' option that you're labeling as evil (boohiss) ACTUALLY gives you the option to defend Bethany's apostate status.

Don't remember the exact wording, but it pretty much amounts to, "I'll have you know, I stand with Bethany."

That doesn't exactly strike me as something an 'evil' person would say.

And the reason we have indicators now is because MANY people complained that in DAO, the 'tone' of the options wasn't very apparent.  It's how a great many 'ninja' mances were started. ;)

Then tell me where is my badass//menace option? Or an option to just kill them or not accept to the party or ask them like an r-****** what is going on? Everythign that I mentioned was in Origins and now it's replaced with a wheel...

- Ladyhawke's armor is ugly and bulky as hell (she's not supposed to be a boy!) while bethany's and isabella's looks great, I'd pay for a nice looking starting armor! pleaaaaseee.
- Was those muscles on rogue ladyhawke's arms really needed? ugly, don't like at all!

It would be very odd if she didn't have muscles or sufficient armor, considering she's going to fight, not model for Vogue. I think she looks strong and capable. Her being female shouldn't have to change that.

360 version:

- I like the combat speed a lot better and it flows better now that you don't have to wait for a charcter to get exact spacing and that the game does it for you.

- Warrior and Dagger Rogue just seem way too underpowered, I hope they get better later on. Also, heal feels like it takes way too long to recharge.

-Largely the character models look much improved, the women's arms don't look awkward anymore, and Nice touch on Aveline's arms and Isabella. Though it seems Marian Hawke's arms shrink when she's wearing armor and they look like Origins all over again.

Just finished the demo on my PC.

Good thing is my rig seems to be able to run the game just fine.

As to the new combat, I'll really have to get used to it. It's so different from DA:O (at least it feels like it). The animations seem too fast.

The conversation thing bugs me. It's okay in Mass Effect, but was wishing it was more like in DA:O. As others have already mentioned, it's pretty much dumbed down (Paragon/Renegade...).

Storywise you don't get to see a whole lot, which incidentally is the main thing for me. I can probably get used to the new combat, if the conversation thing isn't just Paragon/Neutral/Renegade choices I can accept that, but it's the story which I think is important.

I'll keep my pre-order, but only because I have faith in Bioware (Haven't failed on me yet and DA:O, ME and ME2 really are gems). If it were another company, based on what I've seen in the demo I'd cancel the pre-order and wait till the game comes out.

To start with, I just finished the demo on PC, and overall, it rocked my socks. Combat feels great, fast and furious. I didn't mind the combat in DA:O at all, but this just feels more exciting, which is great. The characters, models and animations are solid, a definite improvement on Origins. Voice acting and dialogue, as standard with Bioware, was superb.

Just a few little issues that I ran into: Graphically, at least in the prologue sequence, the world left a little to be desired. The environment felt bland and not detailed enough. I know its not supposed to be the focus, but it felt out of place, especially with such detailed models running around on top of it.

Second, when transitioning from combat sequences to cutscenes, the game either froze while it was loading, or stuttered. It was only for a few seconds, but it was enough to break the immersion. Is it possible to get some better pre-loading coded?

Last but not least, pop-up with enemy spawns. No excuse for it to be visible in this day and age, for the most part its hidden well with spawning around corners/running up rocks and cliffs, but please for the love of god can we not just see them magically appear on the battlefield? (note this only happened once)

Anyway, just my 2 cents. I don't mean to sound overly negative, as it really left me wanting more, and overall the demo was very satisfying.

Bring on March 8th!

Absolutely loved the demo! Playing it on the xbox, I loved what you did with the combat! I can slow it down and think tactically when I need to, but otherwise I can just lay into the enemies! Works really well with a controller! Thank you!

Now on to my only complaint. Something I noticed and it just rubbed me the wrong way if you know what I mean. The flow from gameplay to cutscreens and even cutscreen to cutscreen does not well flow very well. I am getting all into it and then suddenly there is a pause and then it keeps going like nothing happened. Just that split second takes me a level out of immersion. Certainly isn't a deal breaker, but could be addressed.
