I can adjust the camera just fine with the right mouse on the PC version. I wouldn't worry bout that.

You can't, you can rotate the camera around the selected character but you can't move it like you could in DAO here it's locked on the character.

That makes it pretty hard to select an enemy when it's far from you.

Don't like the ability icon pictures look to basic, prefer DA 1 version, feels more like a arcade action game then a rpg! , like how the mage fires faster with the staff thou. Still it's only a demo no doubt I'll fall in love like i did with the first game.

P.S shame the fireball doesn't blast darkspawn every were like in the first game.

Played the PC

Combat was confusing at first till I got the hang of it, Graphics was stunning and I love the details on the character clothes.

To anyone saying, the Combat is like Anime:

Bollocks, And the only Anime you can name is Dragon Ball Z...which was mostly a MARTIAL ARTS Show.

OK, so it looks like Naruto, Bleach, Saint Seiya, Hokuto no Ken (it even has dismemberments and everything :) )... just because one mentions the most well know anime doesn't mean we can't come up with other examples.

Well, the demo served its purpose, I suppose. It gave an impression of what DA2 would be.

The combat was...there. Honestly, I don't know what to make of it. The enemies are spread out over large areas, making it a bit harder to take them all out. After a certain point, I just shrugged and let my party just auto attack the enemies to death. Quick? Not particularly, but it was less repetitive than constantly clicking abilities that felt like they were doing minimal damage.

The loading times weren't bad, though. They were more frequent, of course, but they didn't take what seemed like forever in Origins (especially when that memory leak really started to get going). I suppose the areas are smaller, too.

The cut scenes just looked like they needed a good polishing. They looked extremely rough around the edges, with jagged angles (like around the eyebrows when certain facial expressions were going). Clipping and texture stretching are particularly troublesome, since they're happening in every scene. It looks tacky. A particular annoyance was when Flemeth's neck was phasing through her own outfit.

But my biggest problem is the way LadyHawke runs, currently. My run through was with the two-handed warrior, and I don't know what happened, but it was just terrible. Her arms were either held limply or just looked like she was making a claw. Words cannot express how horrid I find it, especially considering that Marian will most likely be my primary Hawke.

Yes. Big problems in fact. The game works like a charm on DX9 settings though.

I have an Nvidia 570 card which should be able to handle DX11. Graphics tears up and it has perfomance issues.

That makes me feel better I was thinking there problem with my graphics cards. I have 3x gt480 and i7 and 16gb and get 5fps and blak triangles all over the floor.

I miss my Duel Wielding Warrior but Sword and Shield wasn't too bad. I tend to like having my main character run in head first and tear crap up while my Mage backs me up. The Two handed weapons just look too silly to me. Like oversized versions or something. I might try Rogue next.

I'm not sure yet on Rogue till I try him out. If he could carry normal Swords, I'd be 100% choosing him but I'm not sure about the daggers.

And I'm already ruling out a Mage. They're just too...squishy. I like getting up close and personal and Mages just aren't built for that. New staffs are badass though.

I'm a bit annoyed you can't use a sword/dagger combo for Rogue. Or that you can't use a normal sword without a shield for Warrior. I would use two handed swords but they just look too silly. Makes Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Buster Sword look tame. Even the axes look gigantic. Didn't look right.

Animations during fighting seem a bit exaggerated.
Graphics are ok for mid setting. Looking forward putting it on max in the full game. And for the PC Version, can we stop the camera rearranging itself every time I move? Character models seem better too and from I saw of the armour, a lot more detailed. But hopefully hasn't been watered down to a handful.

Difficulty could do with some tweaking. For normal, it seemed kind of easy. Just some fine tuning would do the trick hopefully. Levelling system seems good.

Overall, a nice taste of a game I'm looking forward to. But could do with some more tweaks here and there. ;)

Well since I see so many negatives wanted to add my thoughts.

The 360 demo played great. As a fellow who played Neverwinter and Kotor on PC but tends to lean to console games the controls have been smoothed out for the console and combat is much more interesting for all 3 classes.

I'm not 100% sold on everything (dual weapons rogue has an odd feel to it and the lack of dual weapon warrior is sad since that's the way I went in DA:O) however so far, the art design is great, the action is engaging, and the cut scenes are nice (though some of the mid-combat jumps are awkward.)

Well, I can say that if I ever buy the game (doubtful, see my previous post), Isabela will be part of my team. My Lady Hawke took an instant liking to her breasts ;)

How odd, I swear my Lady Hawke had the same reaction! :kissing:

They have the same issues with their MMO, The Old Republic. :) Stupid movement animations.

Jig, the real corollary would be the size of his ****.  Please don't be obtuse.  Some female gamers are going to think Isabela looks ridic and leave her at camp or wherever the hell we leave her.  No one is telling you  that you have to.  This is a Bioware feedback thread, and I just let Bioware know what I thought about it.  Enjoy the game, I plan to.

Hence my use of the word 'some' and the phrase 'no one is telling you.'  How do people not get that my opinion is simply that?  And that said opinion is my feedback to Bioware, not to you personally?   Handle.

Transient, no one is suggesting that you have to dislike the character. At all. I'm simply stating that I find her body to be completely over-the-top and sort of gross. Said over-the-topness I find to be catering to male gamers in a way I'm not sure I've seen Bioware do before.

Miranda and Jack were both made to be very attractive, but at least they didn't have ridiculous "teenage boys love this!" huge knockers.

It's just one of many reminders that this game panders to the notion that "all gamers are horny teenage boys".  I, too, thought BioWare was better than that - I guess all my faith is in the Mass Effect team now.  If ME3 gets screwed up this bad, it's Game Over, Man.

BioWare made a post saying that dx11 is buged in the demo and you should not use it.

I enjoyed the demo and I loved how cool all the powers/magic made me feel. I really enjoyed how truly different each class feels.

Some issues/complaints from the demo (the Xbox version):

1) Healing takes too long to refill (both potions and healing magic) - this is bad since the combat is a lot more fast and furious and the slowness of the magic/talents refills drag everything down.

2) Lots of bugs in the demo --> Carver fighting with an invisible sword, etc..

3) I have a SDTV and could hardly read anything, but I learned my lesson from 'Dead Rising' and 'Mass Effect 2' so I saved up some money to buy a small HDTV before Dragon Age 2 comes out. (Still sucks though.)

4) When Flemeth spoke, sometimes she would be speaking and then you hear her voice underlying and saying something different...like...you hear two of her speaking at once sometimes.

5) Sorry, but the companion AI isn't working well at all. I made Bethany my healer and set her tactics to heal when anyone's health goes below 25% and she wouldn't heal at all, even when two of my companions were close to death. Also, sometimes the companions would just stare into space until a darkspawn whacked them in the back or something.

Otherwise, the demo has erased most of the doubts I had about this game. Good show, Bioware. Image IPB

but those breasts are damned offensive to me as a female player.

It's okay, not all women have natural large breasts. Just like not all of the fellas can be hung like Man o' War. We all have to live with our shortcomings unfortunately.

Somewhere in this thread one of the devs posted DX11 IS NOT ENABLED FOR THE DEMO!, you can certainly select it but it causes problems.

Add me to the "hate the fighting" camp. The fighting is terrible. If I wanted this kind of fighting gameplay I'd play my son's Soul Caliber or Tekken games.

And where in my post, exactly, did I say that you weren't allowed to hate/dislike/critique her boobies?

All I said was that I thought she was the bomb, plus hearts.  Or are YOU saying I'm not allowed to post that I DO like her just because you posted that you didn't? :P

By all means, continue to judge her breasts.  In the meantime, I'll continue my happy squeeing.

I have played the demo several times. I think the new combat animation make the game more dynamic. I like the changes to the combat tree and it makes upgrading easier for me to understand how to upgrade my talents the way I want. I like how upgrading attributes is reflected in the devritives.

I was disappointed that appearance and inventory were locked for the demo. The other thing that I didn't like was that I couldn't change the type of weapon during the demo. I like to change between shooting the bow and double welding weapons. I hoping that because inventory was locked this is the reason changing weapons wasn't in the demo.

I also didn't like that I couldn't set my tacticals for my party members to take health when they get low. I don't like having to consentrate on their health as I'm trying to keep up with my character's. I'm reserving my final judgement until I get the full game. When everything is unlocked. What I can say is that will be a deal breaker is changing weapons on the fly like in Origin. I got used to that feature and its one I truly love.
