Hilarious how pretty much everyone who is playing the PC demo is hating on it, and it's the exact opposite for the consoles. Pat yourself on the back Bioware, you've done what you set out to do.

I played the PC demo and I like it very much. And I'm one of those five-100%-completion-Origins-playthroughs-soloed-it-on-nightmare-mode guys.

Only things that really bugged me were the lack of tactical camera, tab not displaying every enemy's health, the hair textures and the wonky female running animation, but I'll live. The game is shaping up to be really good.

It's funnier how people are still hung up on the PC vs console split. I've got a gaming PC, gaming laptop, all three current gen consoles, all the previous gen consoles, pretty much every Nintendo handheld, and a PSP. Oh, and there's still an NES, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, and N64 floating around here somewhere.

Miranda and Jack were both made to be very attractive, but at least they didn't have ridiculous "teenage boys love this!" huge knockers.

Wait, what? Did you ever take a good look at Miranda when she turned around in her a-little-bit-too-tight-suit?

Miranda had a big booty but was nowhere near as ridiculously top-heavy as Isabela.  Isabela literally looks like she has breast implants.  Bad ones.

Theres no such thing as bad breasts

Well, played through the demo a second time now, resolved my crashing/stuttering issues by turning off V-sync. My only problem now is that it will be damn hard to choose what class to play when I get the full game.

Also, I can't really see what the doomsayer crowd has been so worried about. Yeah, it's got more flair and actions as far as visuals go, but the gameplay is largely similar without some of the weird features left over from 90s cRPGs. This from someone who grew up playing games like Baldurs Gate and Arcanum, and I am still positive about this game after the demo (more so than before even).

I loved the demo! I read a bunch of the threads, while I was waiting for it to download, and I was expecting bad things. Boy was I wrong. The improved combat system is incredibly fun. The skill tree system is very well designed. Aside from being unable to play the demo with Dx11, it ran flawlessly. It was capped to medium graphics settings, but I was running smoothly with 8x AA.

My only concern is "click movement." I didn't notice if there is a way to disable it, but I sure hope so. It's a little difficult to target moving enemies, so right clicking would send me moving all over the place.

After playing through DA:O, I wasn't sure I would buy this one.. But the massive change to the playstyle has won me over. Great work guys! Keep up the good work.

Did you download it through steam, or the bioware site? Cause I got it through steam and was able to enable DX11, and set to High.  I think when you you start the demo, and get to the screen that says play, configure, website, ect...   you have to go to configure, and it will scan your system, then DX11 will be available, Im not talking about the in game options, but the initial screen before you start the game. Hope this helps ya.

Well... I enabled Dx11, and started the game.. at which point my computer hard locked and slowed to a crawl. This is pretty unusual, and doesn't happen with any other game. I downloaded it from the Bioware site, before Steam uploaded it.

I almost forgot, one major complaint i had about the graphics was the menus look way too dark even with max gamma correction. Also, DON'T MAKE THE CINEMATIC VOLUME LOUDER THAN THE GAME VOLUME! This always annoys me when the game and the pre-rendered cutscenes have seperate volume levels.

Other than those things i loved the demo and look forward to playing the full game.

I tried both the xbox 360 and PC demo and I like the PC version better. The main reason I like the PC version better is controls, they feel alot more responsive on the PC and with a game like Dragon Age I think it is better played on PC anyway with all the tactical combat and what not.

My biggest issue right now on the pc version is that even though my main character is getting hit in melee, he/she just stands there untill I right click on them to attack. Is their a option to turn on auto attacking/responce because this is down right annoying.

However its not near as annoying as the ogre being able to hit me, make me get knocked back, and turning off my auto attack every 4 seconds. Maybe I'm just missiing something but this seems a bit silly to have in a game thats supposed to be visceral and action packed.

I'm playing the demo for pc and I have to say I love the story so far although I'm a bit sad about a certain event. Playing a mage is really cool because you can play much more of a battle mage. I'm not sure I like playing a rogue with all that crazy jumping around and all, it's easier than playing a warrior which seems odd. The graphics seem great. I don't really enjoy the dial style dialog it's the one reason I haven't play ME2 after playing ME. In my opinion it's no Dragon Age Origin, I already miss creating my character and making choices. I do like having the family around, except that one incident. I'll definately play it a few times, but not as many times as origins.

I really enjoyed the demo, and it is a demo a few people seem to think Bioware have released a full version with regards to some of the issues like Flemeth's line being cut short. I always play as a mage to start off with, I felt it was the most fun to be on DA:O the other classes are too alike in Origins and the archery was very ropey in my opinion. I haven't played as the other classes yet but it would seem judging from other peoples posts that the rouge/warrior issue and the archery have improved to some extent however back to being a mage, It was tough at the low levels in some parts like the Ogre but I managed to get through the demo without any party members falling (a lot of close calls though) but I think we see at the very start when Hawke's escape is exaggerated just how fun a high level mage is going to be, I like the new animations used for the auto/standard attack are instead of the prodding motion in Origins, I don't have an issue with the character of Hawke as in Origins I felt more for the party members than my mute Warden, I think having a voice while still being able to dictate the look and and attitude of Hawke will make me connect with the protagonist a lot more. As for the party members so far I think I need more time to compare them with the likes of Sten and Ogrhen. While the graphics have improved I'm still not that impressed with them but as I mentioned earlier it's just a demo and the gameplay more than makes up for it. Oh and I'm loving all the free shizzle Bioware are giving on the signature edition etc, all the stuff will certainly come in handy for my low level characters when the came comes out. Roll on March 11th so I cant start ripping things up with my mage.

Her boobs dont look fake, they arent overly perky and sag like real ones. Isabella is smoking hot.

All i got from the demo was that its going to be a buggy console port the likes of which humanity hasn't seen before. CoD black ops currently holds that title but from what I saw from the demo this game just might beat it.

Radeon HD 5970

8gigs DDR3 1600

i7-2600k 3.8ghz

windows ultimate 64bit

Couldn't run the demo for more than 4 minutes without crashing.

Just played through as rogue archer--seriously overpowered!  Maybe I should keep quiet about that but I'm sure others have noticed it also.

I know I was disappointed when Varric does more AoE damage than a mage. :(  And he had a crowd control ability.

Did someone at BioWare just swap the names of the classes?  I thought rogues were supposed to be single-target DPS.

First off, I absolutely loved DA:O. It is my all-time favorite game. I admit I am very particular. I only play RPG's and am even choosy when it comes to them. Think big epic open worlds. I won't mention the developer here. I was so excited for DA2. I did pre-order the signature edition. Unfortunately what I've experienced in the demo is very disappointing for a player like myself.

I am terrible at fast action combat. Button mashing is not my strong suit.

I really really hate mob fights. That's all there was here. Swarm after swarm. Confusing, I couldn't find myself let alone have a second to think of where my companions were.

I died over and over again at the ogre. There were areas of DA:O that were that difficult but I wouldn't expect it in a demo. I still haven't beaten it, probably due to my inexperience in live mob style action button mashing action combat. (I did play DA:O on both PC and 360, but prefer 360 for ease.)

I have never played the Mass Effect games they are not my style at all this is why I was so impressed with Origins. I have watched my husband play the Mass Effect games and they didn't appeal to me. I am having that same feeling with DA2. The dialog wheel as innovative as it may be, I just keep being surprised at what comes out of the character's mouth (and not in a good way.).

Where are all the intricate tactics? Always my first tactic on any character was to drink a health potion when health below a certain level. With the type of combat in place now I have even less time to keep track of everyone else.

My husband tried to warn me that the game would be dumbed down for mass console players. I didn't believe it. But it's sure feeling that way.

The one thing I loved with DA:O was the dramatic and moving story. That at least looks like it will not change. I pre-ordered it even before the signature edition was announced so I will be stuck with it, I just hope I can play it.

Please don't attack me. This is just my opinion based on my strengths/weaknesses in gaming. This is also why I am so particular in which games I play. I was just hoping DA2 would be just as amazing for me as the first.

It was over a span of many years. I did not attain them all at once, lord no. Only got the PS3 last year. XD Tax time is usually my new console time. ;)

Point was more that I don't see why people are so hard on for one camp or the other when it's very possible to sit happily in both, and like both ends of this hardcore vs 'easymode' (or whatever they're calling it these days) rpgs fight. Or maybe I'm just easier to please with my games.

it's verry complex, fun and verry good game keep up the good work Bioware

Complex?, really?, it was button mashing at best, but I'm not going to knock it for that, I'm just hoping the full game is complex.

Just finished the PC demo and have to say it's amazing, playing a rogue with bow now is really fun and the addition of the target nearest and attack is great, all around well done, Going to try PS3 version later since thats my main gaming platform.

I'm not sure about the dialogue wheel. It doesn't feel like I'm in control and interacting with the world. I know that doesn't quite make sense - it's hard to explain. There seems to be a disconnect that I wouldn't normally feel with a non-voiced protagonist and non-wheel text options. Guess it'll just take some getting used to.

The combat is a bit too... frenzied for my liking. There was something about Origins that made it compelling even if it was much slower. Everything sort of feels on rails like I'm playing some sort of hack and slash down one long corridor. I just hope the environments open up and deviate a bit more later in the game.

Graphics, art and animation were all exceptionally well done. Major improvement over Origins.

Characters and dialogue were good. Interested in the story. Looking forward to seeing it unfold. Heaps of possibilities.

Also, why do the darkspawn run like someone stuck a firecracker down their pantaloons?

I am not one of those people who had issues with DA:O's combat. I thought it was plenty fun, and I loved it.

That said, I don't think I can ever go back to it now. DA2 demo has literally blown my mind. I honestly didn't think you guys could make DA: O seem generations in the dust just with a single sequel but you did. The combat is just...effing amazing. I have NEVER before enjoyed melee combat, and now I'm playing rogues and warriors just as much as I am playing mages. And this is just the demo.

You guys totally nailed it.

My only complaint is that this is only the demo, and now I'm no longer ignorant about what I'm missing. March can't come fast enough.
