I want to play it on DAY 1, but i fear this might not be the case. I want the SE version of DA2, but its all sold out in the Netherlands, so i am trying to look for it, if i can not buy it, then i guess its tough luck and i need to buy the normal version, but untill the release date, i will try and find the SE.
Will you play on release day or wait?

After playing the demo I realized there was nothing in it that I liked. I'm sure the story will be great but there has to be more than that. So this will be a game put on hold until there is a bargain bin offer somewhere.

My excitement might vaporize the game DVD on contact.
That aside, ASAP.

I have exams the day it comes out, and the day after. I'll buy it on release and put it right in front of my TV, using that as motivation to get through these essays and tests. The second the last one is over? Hello Hawke, goodbye sleep!

Gonna wait and see what the others say about this - I'm gonna try the demo for the gameplay, but the story is what I'm looking for.

My thoughts exactly. The demo just confirmed my concerns about the game.
I'll wait and see how the game turns out in the big picture. Got a couple of games to play while i wait and a lot of stuff that needs to be done.

I'll wait for exactly the amount of time it'll take for me to download the game. After that I intend to be unavailable for anything other than life and death situations. Well, those and work.

Enjoyed the demo very much. So yes, I think I'll be getting it right away.

I've been waiting for Dragon Age 2 for months. The closer March 11th draws near, the looser the chain on my inner-fangirl gets. Then there's the fact uni will be closed the very week it hits the shelves.
So yes. March 11th? I'll lock myself up in my room while blackmailing my roomie into keeping me alive.
Anyone with enough patience and self-discipline to actually wait until a patch gets released, has a little Gandhi hidden somewhere deep inside them.

I'm dying to play, so waiting is not an option. Got my pre-order fully paid (to make sure nothing could come up preventing me from having the money) and I intend to be at Gamestop right at the time I was told the UPS truck comes with the shipment.. Then I intend to play hooky from work to play it. I haven't figured out how I'm going to stand waiting until March 8th, let alone even longer. But if you have the willpower to do it more power to ya.

If it's not in my mailbox by the time I get home from school on March 8th, I'm going to track down the mailman and, uh, colorfully persuade him to hand the game over.
So yes, immediately. As soon as I have it, whenever that may be.

I wonder if many people are gonna go thru a run on release day or actually gonna wait for the inevitable first patch before playing?
I waited until the 4 patch before playing...did not regret it one bit...and i got a good solid game ouf of it...how about you? what will you do?
DAO worked perfectly for me on release day. Indeed I'd say waiting for DAO, of all games, was probably unnecessary. DAO had tons of time for polishing prior to release, and was one of the most bug free games I'd ever played this side of the millenium.
Of course, DA2 won't be as polished, since it hasn't been delayed for several months to accomodate a simultaneous release like DAO was, but since the basic engine is the same it should hopefully be more stable than completely new games.
I hope.

Probably not, I'll wait for a couple weeks or so, peruse the boards and then play when I'm less busy.

Probably not since Amazon canceled my order. I had pre ordered in time to get the signature edition and everything.
