That's the speed I'm getting from BioWare's servers today, though normally, it's upwards to 20 MB/s. I've not been stuck at ~1 MB/s since I started using standalone download managers. I believe the servers are tasked to capacity.

Also, you should be aware of proper terminology, to avoid confusion. 1 MB/s (megabyte per second) is usually 8 times 1 mb/s (megabit per second).

It timed out at 95%. Have to start all over again and I've lost what little speed I had. Trying a torrent simultaneously.

This Sucks. First suffered through the forum and Web Site Crash. Then 3 failed attempts at downloading it from the direct link. The Megaupload torrent link doesn't seem to work, and the Gamershell torrent is painfully slow.

no excuse for the very slow download you had several days to prepare and should have expected a large amount of traffic.



rather than allow download rates to drop you could have capped the number of downloads and or set a rate to level it off for all users.
