Alright I might be called a wuss, but damn it's hard. I just keep dying at this boss battle type thing. Definitely playing the real game on easy, just like DAO.

The demo crashes for me after the first battle with the ogre. I see Varric and Cassandra talking and get to the character creation screen, press start game and get the message "Dragon Age 2 has stopped working". It has crashed both times I've tried it. :(

when i change to dx11 frame rate drops very much, they have to fix immediately.

Nothing to fix, this is just a demo and it's not meant to run with DX11.

I don't think so. If you enable DX11, it IS rendered in DX11, and at this point I'd say it should reflect the DX11 performance in the final game. Which to say is abysmal at best. Especially when Very High is disabled. I can just see the launch date and all the crying fanboys who get 15fps with their DX11 cards.

The only real benefit for DX11 is AF. Which is ironic, considering DAO had no AF at all, and it looked like complete garbage unless you forced 16x AF from driver settings.

Just play in DX9 guys, and force AF via driver and your fps will be >100. DX11 in this game is just gimmickry and it will look like crap regardless of how high you crank it up. I'd rather play with smooth constant 60fps and over, than marvel some tacked-on effects that have no real impact on the experience. It's the gameplay that matters...

Just a heads up (with some heavy caution thrown in): The download I tried through Bioware's site left me with around 400mb. I tried the megaupload ( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W8O141FP ) torrent and it seems to be counting the 400 megs I downloaded already. I have about 35 minutes left on the download. I'll post back with word of whether it completed or not.

Or, you know, it could be Sony's fault in that they release things later in general.

Bah I'm not buying a gold account just to get it on my xbox.

Question to anyone that may know: if I download the demo on my ps3 and link that to my EA account will it screw me up when I get the actual game for my Xbox and try to link that to my account? I mean like bonus items and crap?

I'm having a little problem with the demo on PC, but I don't get if it's an issue coming from my system or not but it doesn't happen (not it ever happend) with any other game. So I ask if someone have the same to pinpoint the problem.

Every once in a while the game stops and it shows "loading...", ranging from 2 to 5 seconds. It happens mostly on the "exagerated" portion of the game. For example the game goes then I kill the Ogre with Winter Blast and this "loading..." comes. It's really bugging, especially if it happens every minute or so for the most disparate motive.

Now I have a RAID 0 system and the disk isn't active so I cannot get what the issue could be. I even tried logging out (thinking that the servers were a bit overloaded and the upload of infos slowed down the game) but it doesn't change anything. I tried everything (I disabled EVERY background app, changed all setting to bare minimum, disabled SLI, removed writeback cache on the RAID etc.) but nothing seems to work.

So, does this happen to anybody else? If a dev can have a suggestion I would be grateful.

My system:
I7 920
6 GB of RAM DD3
Nvidia GTX 295
RAID 0 (32 bit scrape size) with 2 Matrox 500 GB

Yeah, um Just to say if you cutoff at 400mb, and the torrent picked up as 400mb (by checking) it might get corrupted as a file.

As for me, the 1st battle scene was full of graphics distortion and laggy-ness. Not sure if it's just me or it's intended as a demo. 2nd scene much better.

Noticed that the temperature and load of my 2nd gtx 580 barely increased, whereas the 1st 580 was stressed out. SLI disabled for the demo?
