So I paused the Bioware site DL to try and speed up the fileplanet one, and now the Bioware one failed :/

Let's hope the fileplanet one works properly.

I can't run it. The demo always crashes with a message saying that d3dx9_43.dll is missing from my computer? Anybody have any suggestions on what I can do?

I FOUND A SOLUTION! Go to the place where u installed DA2 demo, find "redist" and in that directX and there is a setup! install it and u will be able to play! :)

Hmmm. I've noticed an issue with getting your party members to actually use Quick Heal. Sometimes they'll just stand there doing nothing you tell them to do.

Highly underwhelming.

I loved Origins to death, but what the bleeping shizz is this atrocious abomination? The animations were choppy, and even the cutscenes weren't fluid. It looks downright awful as well, and to top it off it runs like a sack of **** on even a high-end computer.

I had higher hopes for this.

Good. The Megaupload one is at a steady 250 kb/s speed for me. It should get done just before I go to sleep, so I guess installing and keeping it warm for tomorrow will have to suffice.

Hey, hey, question. o:

You think if I downloaded the demo on PS3 and found a way to attach it to this account, could I still score the DLC stuff when I buy the actual game for PC?
Because right now, while I managed to get the downloader it and my computer have been a collective jerkface and been all "LULZ NOPE, REINSTALL. I'LL HIDE THE ACTUAL GAME APPLICATION IN THE MEANTIME. ;D"

Just a heads up (with some heavy caution thrown in): The download I tried through Bioware's site left me with around 400mb. I tried the megaupload ( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W8O141FP ) torrent and it seems to be counting the 400 megs I downloaded already. I have about 35 minutes left on the download. I'll post back with word of whether it completed or not.

Yeah, um Just to say if you cutoff at 400mb, and the torrent picked up as 400mb (by checking) it might get corrupted as a file.

Yeah.  That's why I'm not saying it fixes anything until I try to install it.  Sometimes programs install fine and sometimes they don't.  Even then I'm thinking it might overright any errors there may be in the file if they exist.  We'll see.

I really enjoyed the demo. I remember a few months back asking if the controls were essentially a faster version of the DA:O controls and I did get an answer, then I got to see for myself. The combat feels like Dragon Age, but I did hate we couldn't play a bit in town. I did thought find it weird when Bethany and Avaline would just not attack sometimes till I gave them like a mana potion or a stamina draught. Other than that bit of weirdness, I really enjoyed it and hope to play more.

PSN SUCKS! (not really) I was looking forward to the demo before one was announced. Of course PS3 folks have to wait for everything. Guess it will be there tomorrow. Seeing that I'm working 7p to 7 a it will have to wait longer.

Heard you the first time :)
I think the problem must be at your end, especially if even the cutscenes don't run properly. It runs fine on my system (2.67 Ghz I5 core w/GTX 460 and 4Gb RAM), which is hardly state of the art.

Thank the Maker for the existence of Fileplanet, and to the individual who linked it to this site.
